7/716 - Athletically built, 6-foot-1, 175-pound outfielder with quick-twitch actions. Left-handed hitter, relaxed at the plate, quick hands, controls the barrel. Threat to bunt for a hit. Concise, efficient routes defensively. Strong, accurate arm. 

8/1/15 - Scantlin is a 6-foot 180-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. He ran a 7.00 60 and had an exit velo of 91.  At the plate, Scantlin has a excellent control of the bat with loose hands and strong hands. Scantlin has a short stride with minimal load, starting from an athletic stance.  He has the ability to use the whole field and create back-spin line drives.  Defensively, he has a positional velo of 84 mph, with a high-three quarters release.  He makes accurate throws and gets rid of the ball quickly, putting the ball on a line to his target.

6/2/15 - Nate is 6' 170-pound left hand hitting and throwing outfielder from Rose Hill. Moves with ease and quickness. Covers some ground in the outfield and gets to the ball in a hurry with good athletic actions and a clean exchange and top outfield velo of 84 mph.Can really run with 6.67 60/yd. Simple smooth swing with fast hands that stay level through the zone with a fluid line drive type approach, with two singles and a double in game action.

1/19/15 - Scantlin is a strong, athletic 5-foot-11, 165 left-hand hitting outfielder. Attends Rose Hill HS in Kansas. Class of 2017. At the plate showed a tall set-up, narrow stance, short stride, loose hands, bat speed, lower half works, line drive approach, repeats swing. Recorded an 88 mph exit velocity - top mark in camp. Ran a 4.14 home-to-first, strong runner. Throws right-handed, in the outfield showed athletic actions, quick exchanges, high three quarters slot, 82 mph throwing velocity. Impressive class of 2017 left-hand hitting outfield prospect.
