6/19/18 - Beck is a 5-foot-10, 145-pound left-handed pitcher and first basement in Kansas 2020 class from Chanute HS. He ran a 4.40 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 80 mph. During hitting evaluations, Beck has a simple and minimal load, quick hands, flat bat path, showed contact to the middle of the field. Defensively, Beck showed range, quick feet, clean transfers, quick arm action, positional velo of 65 mph, accurate throws. On the mound, Beck has a simple and compact delivery, high ¾ arm slot, fastball shows some arm side run at 66-69 mph, curveball has 1-to-7 shape, gradual type action, 55-61 mph, changeup is 55-61 mph with some arm side run.
