2/16/15 - Cappo is a right-hand hitting outfielder that attends Blue Valley West HS in Stilwell, KS. Class of 2016. 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame. At the plate has a balanced set-up, smooth load, knee-to-knee then controlled stride, slightly uphill path, fast hands, looseness in hands, lower half works, maintains balance, finishes with extension. During batting practice round barreled the ball middle to pull side repeatedly. Recorded an 87 mph exit velocity, ran a 4.22 home-to-first, strong runner. Athletic actions in the outfield, soft hands. Quick, clean exchanges. Quick high three-quarters arm action, strong accurate throws, 82 mph throwing velocity. Athletic class of 2016 outfielder that can run and has shown across the board improvement in the last year.

6/18/14 - Cappo is a 5-foot-9, 160-pound right-hand hitting outfielder.  In the outfield he showed athletic actions, clean exchanges and threw with free and easy high three quarters arm action making mostly accurate throws.  His top throwing velocity was 82 mph, an improvement since the winter.  At the plate he has a balanced set-up and inline stance.  He uses an early backward hand load and very short inline stride.  He showed an explosive lower half and excellent balance throughout.  He has a simple, repeatable swing built to deliver gap-to-gap line drives.  Cappo’s top exit velocity was clocked at 83 mph.  He ran a 4.30 home-to-1B – one of the top times from the right side at the event.

1/4/14 - Cappo is an athletic 5-foot-8, 145-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  In the outfield he showed quick footwork and an easy over-the-top throwing motion with a top velocity of 79 mph.  At the plate he has a balanced stance and short, simple stride.  He has a smooth load with some length to it but delivers the barrel with some bat speed.  He showed good balance throughout his swing.  His top exit velocity was clocked at 83 mph.  Overall everything he does is easy and athletic - indicators of future success in baseball.
