2/21/16 - Wood is a 5-foot-11 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder from Kansas’ 2017 class from Gardner Edgerton HS.  He ran a 4.21 home to first and has an exit velo of 88 mph. At the plate, balanced set up, no wasted movement in load, aggressive and quick hands, level through the zone, mostly middle line drives during batting practice.  In the outfield, 79 mph positional velo, one of top velos for the event, high three quarters release, fluid footwork with clean exchange, momentum through the catch.
