Walters has long limbs on a projectable frame at 6-foot-4, 185 pounds. He has shown recent improvements in his command and velocity, vaulting him to No. 6 in Kentucky’s 2019 class. Though he still misses to the arm side occasionally due to his lower half getting ahead of his arm, Walters showed the ability to more consistently repeat his mechanics at Kentucky’s Preseason All-State event. His fastball sits 81-83 and touches 85 with occasional arm-side run and his 69-71 curveball shows solid 1/7 shape. He also shows feel for a 74-76 changeup thrown with good arm action and late fade through the zone.
