5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic frame. In the box, Sears clocked an exit velocity of 83 mph. Began in a balanced stance with a compact load, then used a small leg kick. Had average bat speed and a level swing plane. Barreled up a few balls during his round. Line drive approach. Solid from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 77 mph; has a clean fluid exchange, and average footwork. Laterally, his movements were average. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot with some accuracy to the base. Recorded a 60 time of 7.66 at the event. Above average on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action while showing good arm speed. Showed some effort in his delivery. Lands square with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 79-81 mph with a max of 82 mph; had running action and some control. Showed occasional command and tight action on his 11/5 curveball (64-66).
