6-foot, 160-pound projectable frame. Projectable during batting practice, Mullins recorded an exit velocity of 87 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a big load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was above average, displayed an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found a few barrels during his round. Fly ball approach. Athletic in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 84 mph; had quick consistent footwork, and a fluid exchange. Movements laterally were quick. Used a loose arm action with an-over-the-top slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.43.
6-foot, 150 pound right-handed hitter with plenty of room to fill out lanky frame. Has a slightly open and tall setup and uses a fairly aggressive stride. Swing path creates natural lift. Flashes good power and bat speed for a 2023 prospect. Will continue to add power as frame develops. Big offensive potential.
Defensively, works through the baseball well and shows strong/accurate throws. Arm strength stands out.
Ran 7.38 60-yard dash on slow track (thick grass). 85 mph OF velocity. 85 mph exit velocity off tee. Mullins is a very intriguing 2023 prospect with upside. A definite high follow in the 2023 class.
