A fixture since his Freshman year for The Diamond Aces, the gritty Heistand is an old school baseball player that never panics playing with a high IQ for the game. Tough, mature, off the charts work ethic that just wins. Excellent bat to ball skills with the ability to play any of the three infield positions listed. Followed up a High School Junior season where he hit .351 with a big summer for The Louisville Baseball Club where he hit .400 showing more power with a .1068 OPS. Most impressive is that Heistand only struck out 15 times between High School and the Summer in 172 at bats. A leader on and off the field is what a program will get as Heistand will be an asset for the school he calls home.
