5-foot-10, 160 pound RHP with a quick arm. Chaudoin continues to show an uptick in velocity, this time working 86-89 at the PBR Future Games which is highest velocity to date. Long arm action, high-3/4 slot. Pitched two effective innings against Team Select. Curveball at 70-74 flashes swing-and-miss potential, and typically will throw it any count. Uses a 76 mph changeup sparingly but shows some feel for it while staying mostly with the fastball/curveball mix. Could continue to see velocity rise. One to keep a close eye on.
5-foot-9, 154-pound slim frame. Projects to add. On
the mound, he had quick arm speed and a high ¾ slot. He is an up-tempo type pitcher and
uses normal effort. Has even shoulders and an athletic balance point off the mound. Lands soft
with an athletic finish. Clocked sitting at 83-84
mph T85. Curveball showed hard late 11/5 action (70-72 mph) and showed the most depth when he
when located down in the zone. Locates his later-breaking slider (72-74 mph) well when he
stays on top. His changeup (76-76) showed fading action and low in the zone command.
Chaudoin's quick arm and command of four pitches makes him a high follow in the 2022 class.
