2/17/18:  5-foot-11, 175 pound shortstop hits from a slightly open, balanced setup.  Fluid load, short leg kick.  Hands load back.  Long, level path.  Line drive approach.  Hard contact in the middle of the field.  High exit velocity of 87.  Defensively, he has some lateral quickness.  Sure hands.  Quick transfer into high 3/4 slot.  Throws topped 84mph across.  On the mound, fastball sat 80-82 for strikes.  Breaking ball sat 64-65 with early, gradual break in an 11/5 shape.  Consistent spin.  Above average tempo, stays in line.  Finishes athletically.

5-foot-9, 150-pound, RHH starts in a slightly open stance, squares up with a short stride, hands start close to body and load back to a slight arm bar, gets the most out of lower half to drive the barrel through the zone on a line drive swing plane, barrel stays in the zone a long time resulting in consistent line drive contact to the gaps. Impressed with soft hands defensively and solid footwork, high-3/4 release produced good throws from both the IF and OF, good athlete with ability to play multiple positions. Solid young player with upside.
