Vinny Witte: SS/RHP, (2023) Ryle, KY. 5-foot-11, 135-pound lanky frame. During batting practice, Witte had an exit velocity of 85 mph. Started in an athletic stance with a small controlled load, then used a leg kick. Bat speed was average, and used a short flat swing plane. Athletic in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 79 mph; showed athletic developing feet, sure hands, and a clean exchange. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. On the mound, used a long arm action and a ¾ arm angle while showing good arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 78-80 mph; has arm side command and running action. His 11/5 curveball (61-63) had gradual action. His changeup (65-70) had fading action and arm side command.
Body: 5-foot-11, 135-pound slim frame.
Hit: (RHH) Began in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a leg kick. Average bat speed. Level finish, short swing. Line drive approach.
Power: 70 mph exit velocity, average 65.52 mph. 64.38 mph bat speed average. 20.34 mph hand speed average.
Defense: (IF) Firm hands, average footwork, packing exchange. Capable. Fields the ball deep, movements laterally were average.
Arm: 74 mph infield velocity. Longer arm action, high ¾ slot.
Speed: 7.34 (60-yard).
Pitching: Above average. Drop-and-drive delivery, some effort. Low ¾ arm angle, consistent arm speed, long arm action. Strong balance point, downhill shoulders, lands soft, an athletic finish.
FB: T77. 75-77 mph. (Max spin 1951; Avg 1858). Some accuracy, running action.
CB: 58-64 mph. Consistent command, gradual action, 11/5 shape. (Max spin 2028; Avg 1780).
CH: 62-62 mph. In the zone command, slight running action.
