Will Bucher: SS/2B, (2022) Newport Central Catholic, KY. 5-foot-9, 150-pound lean frame. During batting practice, Bucher recorded an exit velocity of 88 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a tight load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick, used an upward swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 76 mph; has choppy developing feet, sure hands, and a natural exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Had a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot.

Hit: Vertical narrow stance with stiff level swing.
Power: 84mph exit velo with a max distance of 251 feet.
Offensive Projection: Contact hitter.
Field: Fluid footwork in the field with good range and takes solid routes.
Throw: 79 mph infield velo.
Defensive Projection: MIF.

5-foot-8 and 130-pound right-handed pitching prospect. Bucher utilizes a drop and drive type delivery coming out of a belt high lift. Shows good direction towards the plate opening up slightly at foot contact. Uses a short arm action through a low-3/4 slot. Fastball was mostly straight sitting 68-71 MPH. Best secondary offering was the changeup, at 59-60 MPH the pitch showed regular sink near the zone. Also offered an 11/5 breaking ball that showed minimal break. At 56-58 MPH Bucher is still developing feel for the pitch. Two-way prospect. Plays fast in the infield, attacking the ball linearly off the bat. Actions are more fluid on the move. Transfer is smooth with urgency. Looks to be an above average defender for class. Swings it from the right side, starting in a tall stance. Creates balance/separation by taking hands back during his stride forward. Barrel shows some lag through the zone on an uphill path. Natural tools are developing as he is far from his ceiling physically. Showed more present pop to pull side.
