Caleb Ougel: C/3B, (2022) Vandebilt Catholic, LA. 5-foot-8, 155-pound lean frame. In the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a leg kick right before his swing. Displayed an uphill swing plane, above average bat speed and level finish. Barreled up some balls throughout the round. He produced a position velocity of 73 mph during throw downs; had rhythmic footwork, a clean exchange and firm hands. While catching, pop time was 2.01-2.05. Had a compact arm action and an-over-the-top slot. In the 60-yard dash, he recorded a time of 7.6. On the mound, showing quick arm speed used an over-the-top angle with a short arm action. He is a drop-and-drive type pitcher. Has a strong balance point and even shoulders. Lands square. Changeup (72-74 mph) was most efficient when pitched in sequence with his fastball. His fastball sat 81-82 mph and topped out at 82 mph; shows tailing action. He shows sinking action on his curveball(64-65).
