Elijah Winters: OF, (2022) Ponchatoula, LA. Athletic frame. At the plate, the hitter clocked an exit velocity of 86 mph. Starts in a crouched open stance with a small load, then uses a short stride to initiate his swing. Has a flat swing plane and high finish. Line drive approach. From the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 80 mph; has sure hands and rhythmic footwork. Showed a long arm action and an-over-the-top slot. He showed his athleticism during the event with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.81.
10/28/18 Lean 6-foot, 175-pound frame with athletic build and room to add strength. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced athletic setup with loose rhythm. Simple shift of weight loading before taking a short stride forward. Barrel works through zone on short rotational path that produced an exit velocity of 78 mph. Defensively works with smooth footwork into athletic fielding position. Soft hands out front working into clean exchange and medium arm swing into high-3/4 release producing an outfield velocity of 82 mph. Also posted a 7.13 60-yard dash.
