6'1" 170 lbs. frame. The sophomore right-hander had been pretty good for the Bearcats in relief going into last Thursday night, and he turned in another stellar relief appearance for Ruston against Hahnville, as he tossed 2 2/3 shutout IP with 1 BB and 5 K's. Roach uses a longer arm swing to release the ball from a near over-the-top slot, which helps to create good downward tilt on his 81-84 mph FB. He also flashed a developing 68-72 mph "11-5" shaped CB and 76-78 mph CH.
