2025 Louisiana Future Games Preview: Pitching Staff
July 16, 2025
Emerson, GA - Well, it's that time of the summer again, as we're just a few days away from heading east to Emerson, GA for the 2025 Prep Baseball Future Games. This invite-only event is the single largest event of the calender year for uncommitted prep prospects, who are about to enter their junior year of high school, thanks to the more than 400 college coaches that show up to the Lakepoint Sports Complex at the end of every summer. This year's Louisiana team features 19 uncommitted prospects, from different parts of the state, and is littered with talent up and down the roster. Below, we break down the pitching staff that is heading to Atlanta with us next week.
2025 LOUISIANA FUTURE GAMES PITCHING STAFF
Lawton Littleton LHP / Barbe, LA / 2027After a dominant sophomore season for Barbe High School, Littleton climbed to the No. 1 spot in our 2027 State Rankings. The left-hander went 10-2 with a minuscule 0.84 ERA, racking up an impressive 111 strikeouts over 74 innings pitched. Late in the spring, Littleton consistently ran his fastball up to 92 mph with advanced command. He showcased a true four-pitch arsenal, featuring two distinct breaking balls—a sharp 1-7 curveball and a tight, late-breaking slider—both spinning in the 2700-2800 rpm range. He also began to flash feel for a 78-80 mph changeup, rounding out a complete repertoire capable of keeping hitters off balance. Littleton will toe the rubber in Game 1 against Mississippi on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST.

Kade Luker LHP / Cedar Creek School, LA / 20276-2, 180-pound athletic frame with some present physicality with still room to project for more strength. We got our first look this spring at Luker and he showed why he's one of the top two-way talents in the state's 2027 class. The sophomore southpaw works exclusively from the stretch and releases the ball from a lower 3/4 slot. His lower release height allows his 85-90 mph FB to play up in the zone. He pairs that with a low-70's "1-7" shaped CB and a spin-killing 77-79 mph CH. Luker will get the start in Game 3 of the Future Games on Saturday July 26, 2025 at 9 AM EST vs. Oklahoma.

Isaac Boudreaux RHP / Teurlings Catholic, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 12 / POS: 2
6-4, 195-pounds frame with projection still left. The Teurlings Catholic product may just have the highest upside of any arm in the state's 2027 class. Working off the first base side of the rubber and exclusively from the stretch, Boudreaux strides slightly closed and hides the ball well from opposing hitters. His arm action is loose and he creates easy velocity on his 86-90 mph fastball, which he located to all quadrants and wasn't afraid to pitch on the inner-half. He played around with a 83-85 mph cutter that at times had true cutter shape and other times was more of a slider. His low-80s changeup was a solid third offering that he had confidence in throwing to both RHH's and LHH's. Boudreaux will get the start in Game 2 against Arkansas at 12 PM EST on Friday July 25, 2025.

Owen Galley RHP / Sam Houston, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 1
While the phrase “three-pitch command” is often overused, Galley truly emodies it — throwing all three offerings for strikes in any situation. He showed composure and poise time and again on the biggest stages this past spring for the Broncos. Galley sports a fastball that we've seen get up to 89 mph and he comfortably sits 85-87 mph. His 73-76 mph slider continued to improve throughout the course of this past spring too with spin rates near 2,500 RPM, and he also has confidence in a late-fading 79-80 mph changeup. Galley will throw in Game 1 on Thursday July 24, 2025 against Mississippi.

Jake Wooten LHP / Parkview Baptist, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 2
5-10, 175-pounds frame. The Parkview Baptist product provides a unique look from the left side thanks to good extension and a lower release height of 4'5". He works through a slower build-up in his delivery and hides the ball well before releasing from a 3/4 slot. At our Top Prospect Games event last month, Wooten drove his 84-86 mph fastball to the glove-side well and saw swings & misses on the pitch up in the zone. His low-mid 70s slider showed marked improvements from the spring with spin rates near 2,900 RPM's and sweep across the zone. Add in a 76-78 mph changeup with nearly 18" of horizontal movement and Wooten's got a bonafide three-pitch mix. He'll throw in Game 1 against Mississippi on Thursday July 24, 2025.

Greyson Parker RHP / Mandeville, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 76 / POS: 7
Parker bursted onto the scene at our New Orleans Summer ID last month at Tulane. A smooth and athletic mover down the slope with a lightning quick arm action, Parker flashed a riding 88-91 mph fastball through the zone. He paired that with a developing 73-76 mph curveball and 77-79 mph change-up with arm-side sink. With a wiry and athletic 6-1, 170-pound frame, it's easy to dream on what Parker's outputs will be once he gains 15-20 pounds of strength.

Cameron Gangi RHP / St. Thomas Aquinas, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 23 / POS: 3
6-5, 210-pound XL physical frame. We saw Gangi at the beginning of January in a preseason intrasquad and had the chance to see him again at the end of Week 1 of the spring season against Dutchtown, and he provided an intriguing look. He uses an up-tempo "rock & fire" style delivery and releases the ball from a 3/4 slot. His FB ranged 84-87 mph with occasional arm-side run, which he paired with a 72-75 mph "11-5" shaped SL. Gangi has already been up to 89-90 mph this summer and is a guy that we're certainly intrigued to see on the big stage at LakePoint next week. He'll throw in Game 2 against Arkansas at 12 PM EST on Friday July 25, 2025.

Lincoln Guillory RHP / Teurlings Catholic, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 11 / POS: 1
Guillory came through in high-leverage situations all spring long on route to helping the Rebels win back-to-back state titles. The 6-3, 215-pound sophomore right-hander works off a 85-88 mph fastball that has been up to 90 mph recently. He throws both a two-seam sinker and a riding four-seamer. He pairs that with a low-mid 70s slider and firmer low-80s changeup. Guillory will be in a familiar spot at the Future Games, as he'll close the last two innings of Game 2 against Arkansas at 12 PM EST on Friday July 25, 2025.
|
Tyler Roach RHP / Ruston, LA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 43 / POS: 5
6-1, 170-pound frame. The sophomore right-hander had a really nice spring for the Ruston Bearcats out of the northern part of the state. Roach uses a longer arm swing to release the ball from a near over-the-top slot, which helps to create good downward tilt on his fastball. We saw him mostly 82-84 mph this spring, but his velocity has ticked up this summer up to 86-87 mph. He also shows good feel for sping with a low-70s breaking ball and a mid-70s changeup with arm-side sink & run. Roach will throw against Arkansas in Game 2 at 12 PM EST on Friday July 25, 2025.

Jason DeCuir Jr. RHP / Catholic, LA / 2027DeCuir had one of the more impressive bullpens at our New Orleans Summer ID last month, which earned him an invite to this year's Future Games. He's a really athletic mover down the mound with a compact and quick arm action with a 3/4 release. His fastball stayed in the 84-87 mph range and he was able to locate it to both sides of the plate down in the zone. He also showed good feel for a 70-71 mph slider with spin rates up to 2,497 rpm's, as well as a firmer 80-81 mph change-up. With an atheltic and lean 6-0, 170 lbs. frame, there's considerable projection left as he matures and add strengths. DeCuir will throw against Oklahoma in Game 3 at 9 AM EST on Saturday July 26, 2025.
|
Jack Lee RHP / Alexandria Senior, LA / 2027The Alexandria Senior High product provided an eye-opening look at our last summer event on July 1st at the Zachary Youth Park. Using a simple and repeatable delivery with a shorter arm stroke, Lee did an excellent job of locating his 86-91 mph fastball to the bottom of the zone, which paired well with his short & tight "11-5" shaped 72-74 mph curveball. He also flashed a 75-78 mph slider and a developing 76-77 mph changeup. Lee will throw in Game 3 against Oklahoma at 9 AM EST on Saturday July 26, 2025.
|
Koa Romero 3B / RHP / Hahnville, LA / 2027Romero didn't start throwing until the back-half of this past spring with Hahnville, but is back in full force for the 2025 Future Games. Normally known for terrorizing opposing pitchers, Romero is also pretty good on the mound himself. He uses a short & quick arm action to delivery fastballs up to 89 mph with ride and carry through the zone. Romero pairs that with a sharp mid-70s slider and a firmer low-80s changeup. He'll close the last two innings of Game 3 against Oklahoma at 9 AM EST on Saturday July 26, 2025.
