Team Maryland continued their gameplay with game 2 vs. Team Canada on Friday afternoon. Last year, Team Maryland flexed their muscles with an offensive explosion en route to a dominant victory. This year, Team Canada got out to an early 3-0 lead after 2 innings before Team Maryland answered back in the 3rd, highlighted by a Maddox Butts RBI single. In the 4th, Maryland would answer once again, as Jason Marll provided a RBI sac fly and J.A. Stephens notched a two-RBI infield single to give Maryland a 4-3 lead. That's all the run support this pitching staff would need, as Ashton Taylor, Shane Harding, and Philip Giuliani would combine to slam the door, working six scoreless innings to end the game.
