West Florida Top Prospect Games: Quick Hits

The West Florida Top Prospect Games took place on Tuesday, June 23, at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. The event featured players from the 2027-2029 classes participating in a pro-style workout, followed by gameplay in front of the Prep Baseball Florida Scouting Staff.

Today, we will share quick notes on the standouts from Tuesday’s event.

POWER BATS

Offensive firepower was on full display in Bradenton, with several hitters recording exit velocities of 100 mph or higher. 2028 Fletcher King had the highest exit velocity of the day at 101.5 mph. 2029 Journey Milgrom (101.3 mph), 2028 Evan Rupinta (100.3), and 2027 Aidan Michaux (100.0) also recorded triple-digit exit velocities. The three longest distances belonged to 2028 Dameer Watford (382 ft), 2028 Brantley McCoy (374 ft), and 2028 Kanin Summey (370 ft). Summey had an RBI single during the post-showcase gameplay as well. 2029 Justin Caraballo showed off his power during gameplay with a 3-run homerun to right.

CATCHING STANDOUTS

2028 Maxwell Kaiser showed a lot of potential at the catching position, leading the event in both catcher velocity (83 mph) and pop time (1.81-1.86). 2027 Aidan Michaux had an 81 mph velocity and 1.89 pop time. 2028 Jerrett Vaughan’s pop time of 1.84 was the second-best on the day, also posting a 78 mph throw down to second base.

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS

2028 Shaurya Bhosale had a fantastic showing on defense, recording the second-highest velocities from both the infield (90 mph) and outfield (91 mph). 2028 Ethan Jackson had the hardest throw from the shortstop position at 92 mph, followed by Bhosale and 2028 Evan Swope, both at 90 mph. Swope displayed a strong arm and impressive range to both sides. 2028 Maxwell Kaiser led the outfielders with a 93 mph velocity, with Bhosale (91) and 2027 Caleb Ainsworth (90 mph) right behind him.

PITCHERS

The 2026 West Florida Top Prospect Games saw several talented pitchers take the mound, with four different pitchers topping 88 mph or higher on Trackman. 2027 Dylan Williams led the group with a fastball that touched 89.0 mph, also featuring a slider (78.9 mph, 2148 RPM) and changeup (81.5 mph, 1772 RPM). 2027 Kyler Williamson threw an 88.6 mph fastball with a slider (75.7, 2535) and a changeup (78.9, 1791). 2028 Samuel Craig (88.2) and 2028 Kanin Summey (88.1) also displayed top fastball velocities.

ATHLETES

2028 Brooks Markow led the event with a 6.68-second 60-yard dash, followed by 2028 Devin Raines (6.84 seconds), 2027 Evan Poznanski (6.85 seconds), and 2028 Maxwell Kaiser (6.88 seconds). 2027 Caleb Ainsworth recorded an event-best left-handed grip strength of 183 lbs, while Poznanski had the best right-handed grip strength at 176 lbs.
