2026 VA/DC State Games: MVP

On August 4th and 5th, our staff hosted the annual VA/DC State Games. While this year saw a different venue and a different time of the summer for the event, a lot remained the same. The summer state games had more than 160 players in attendance and had plenty of talent to go around from all three eligible classes (2027-2029). Each positional player got a workout and two games, playing in front of a total of 23 different college coaches between both days. Without further ado, we are going to highlight the MVP from the 2026 VA/DC State Games.



2026 VA/DC State Games MVP

Your 2026 VA/DC State Games MVP is Austin Uzzle. At the plate, Uzzle was 3-5 at the plate with a double and triple, accounting for multiple runs for Team Black. On the mound he recorded five outs in one extended inning of work, striking out four of those hitters, and allowing only one hit. He sat 87-90 with the fastball and rolled out a mid 70's breaking ball to complement the heater. In the workout, the New Kent HS product also turned out a Top 5 60 (6.63), Top 5 30 (3.71), Top 5 10 (1.59), 2nd Overall Max FB (90.2), and 1st Overall OF Velo (95). Uzzle is coming off of a Senior Future Games appearance for Team Mid-Atlantic and continues to make his mark as one of the top uncommitted players remaining in the 2027 class.
