2026 Prep Baseball Junior Future Games: Tennessee Quick Hits

EMERSON, GA - The 2026 Prep Baseball Junior Future Games took place July 23-26 at the LakePoint Sports Complex, the Future Games ran in conjunction with the event, drawing 495 college coaches from across the country to evaluate the nation’s top uncommitted talent in the 2028 class.

Team Tennessee made the most of the spotlight, turning heads with a strong showing during both the workout session and two days of competitive gameplay.

Today, we are going to look at scout notes from the players who represented Tennessee at the event.

TEAM TENNESSEE: QUICK HITS 📒

Christian Baker SS / RHP / Shelbyville Central, TN / 2030

Baker put together a well-rounded weekend, showcasing his athleticism with a 7.00-second 60-yard dash, 90 mph max exit velocity, and 318-foot max batted-ball distance during workouts. He carried those tools into gameplay, collecting two singles while consistently putting pressure on the defense with his speed. Baker also flashed his athleticism defensively, covering ground with ease and demonstrating the versatility to impact the game on both sides of the ball.

Brody Dunn 1B / OF / Hardin County High School, TN / 2030

Dunn showcased his strength at the plate during workouts, producing a 92 mph max exit velocity and 314-foot max batted-ball distance. He carried that offensive production into gameplay, showing the ability to drive the ball to all fields while finishing with two singles and a 2-RBI double. One of his singles came off the bat at 90.7 mph back through the middle, highlighting his ability to consistently square up quality pitching. Dunn's balanced approach and emerging power make him an intriguing young bat to follow in Tennessee's 2030 class.

Miles Roach OF / RHP / Riverside High School, TN / 2030

Roach continued to establish himself as one of the more intriguing two-way prospects in Tennessee's 2030 class. During workouts, he showcased his offensive upside with a 97 mph max exit velocity and 367-foot max batted-ball distance, then carried that production into gameplay with two hits, including an RBI single. On the mound, Roach's big, projectable frame stood out as he worked 84-87 mph, touching 88.7 mph, with a heavy fastball that produced uncomfortable at-bats. He complemented it with a sharp 69-70 mph curveball and a developing 71-73 mph changeup, giving him the foundation of a quality three-pitch mix. With his physical projection, two-way ability, and already impressive stuff, Roach is a high-upside follow as he continues to mature.

Brody Wilkins SS / RHP / Clarksville Academy, TN / 2030

Wilkins showcased solid offensive tools during workouts, posting an 89 mph max exit velocity with a 320-foot max batted-ball distance before carrying that into gameplay with a base hit. On the mound, the right-hander stood out with a funky delivery and confident presence, consistently commanding a 78-80 mph fastball (T81) while generating swing-and-miss with a sharp slider. He also mixed in a 72-74 mph changeup, giving him a well-rounded three-pitch mix. Wilkins' ability to disrupt timing with his delivery and attack hitters with multiple offerings makes him an intriguing young arm to continue following.

Cole Henderlight 1B / RHP / Goodpasture Christian, TN / 2030

Henderlight showcased some of the loudest raw tools of the event, producing a 98 mph max exit velocity and 371-foot max batted-ball distance during workouts before driving in a run with an RBI base hit in gameplay. On the mound, the physical right-hander flashed significant upside, overpowering hitters at times while allowing just one hit, one earned run, and striking out two. He worked 83-85 mph with a 2,300 RPM fastball, complemented by a sharp 75 mph slider (2,200 RPM) and a 78 mph changeup, showing projectable velocity across all three offerings. With his physical frame, developing arsenal, and impact offensive tools, Henderlight profiles as one of the more intriguing two-way follows in Tennessee's 2030 class.

Hunter Wade 1B / C / Anderson County, TN / 2030

Wade displayed many of the traits that make him an exciting long-term follow. He collected multiple hits over three games, including a double, while showcasing present power, particularly to the pull side. During the workout portion, Wade posted a 92.7 mph max exit velocity, a 335-foot max batted-ball distance, and an impressive 71% sweet spot percentage. The corner infielder has a physical offensive profile with considerable upside as he continues to develop and improve his overall athleticism.
