EMERSON, GA - The best uncommitted event in the country kicks off this week with Future Games Week at LakePoint in Georgia. Teams from across the country will be showcasing their skills in front of college coaches from across the country.
The Team Noral squad is composed of players from the northern portion of California. To begin the week, the players underwent a pro-style showcase workout with athletic testing captured via VALD for the 60-yard sprint test and jump testing. Offensively, the players utilized Blast Motion for swing metrics and Trackmand Technologies for batted ball data. They will begin their competitive slate on Thursday evening against South Texas.

Aiden Tavares SS / 3B / Foothill High, CA / 2028Tavares had himself quite the performance earlier today in the Team NorCal workout, he ran a personal best at a 6.85 60 yard dash. His frame stands out and he’s got a lot of strength to go along with his athleticism. Tavares had impressive split times, and with two more years of high school to go, he’s got more than enough time to keep improving. When Tavares stood in the box, he had a huge presence, with a heavy load into his backside, the approach was mature with a lot of middle/middle pop. He had a max distance of 384 FT and a max EV of 101.7 MPH, the most impressive part was the consistency of finding the barrel (100% hard hit). On the infield, Tavares has a real shot to stay on the left side, he’s got a very strong and accurate arm, to go with an advanced first step, Tavares utilizes his one-hand attack, which complements his soft hands.

Ryan Miller 1B / OF / Granite Bay High, CA / 2028Miller is ranked the 2nd overall 1st basemen ranked in the country, he’s coming off of a solid sophomore season at Granite Bay High School. Fast forward to Future Games, Miller proved why he’s one of the top ranked players in the country. Miller also had a personal best 60 yard dash with a 6.86 and a top speed of 20.5 mph, his vertical jump was 25.9 in. Miller’s bat is the most attractive part of his game, he’s got a smooth stroke, mixed with plus bat-to-ball skills. Miller can pull the ball with authority and also let some loose the other way, he’s got an upright stance, with a small backside load, he does a great job of staying through the baseball. When it comes to defense, Miller can play first base, outfield, and hop on the mound. His athleticism is going to give coaches a couple options with him, when he adds strength and matures, his power is going to be something to follow.

Charlie Reyes C / 3B / Clayton Valley Charter High, CA / 2028Reyes is a sleeper of the group, he showed up at the Norcal Future Games Tryout and got an invite to Georgia. He’s an athletic catcher who can really catch and throw, he had a pop time of 1.83-1.95, it’s a quick transfer with a cannon of an arm. Reyes can run for his size, posted a 7.21 60 yard dash, he’s still young so his body is going to mature in the next couple years. The backstop from the Bay Area can swing it too, he didn’t show his best ability at the workout, but he still hit the ball hard to the middle of the field, there wasn’t much poolside pop displayed, but it’s in there. Reyes will help any staff behind the plate, it’s a huge plus he can hit.

Colton Fitzgibbon OF / LHP / San Ramon Valley High, CA / 2028Fitzgibbon was last seen at the NorCal ProCase where he earned his invite to the Future Games, he’s a real two-sport athlete, who’s got multiple D1 offers already in football. Fitz has got some of the most athleticism in the 2028 class, he ran a 6.44 60 yard dash during his workout along with a 30.6 in vertical, his first time running Fitzginnon slipped, and still managed to run a 6.50. Offensively, the bat speed is real, he’s got fast hands with a lot of quick twitch, there are times where he pulls off, but he’s athletic enough to drive the ball still. Fitz had a max distance of 388 ft along with a Max EV of 102.3 mph. The big question here is if he’s going to choose baseball or football, he’s got a bright future in both, but only time will tell which one he picks.

Isaac Schroeder OF / 3B / Granite Bay High, CA / 2028Schroeder came off a monster year, also at Granite Bay High School, where he was their leading offense hitter. He’s got a wiry frame at 6’3, with a lot of room to add strength. Schroeder ran a 6.68, he previously ran a 7.11 at the Stanford PSAS in January. The hit tool is going to open up a lot of eyes, right off the bat, Schroeder mashed baseballs all over the yard, his max distance was 401 ft with a max EV of 104.1 mph, he’s got an upright stance, sort of like Miller, but his ability to create lift to the baseball was impressive. There were some balls that were elevated where he let the hands work, and hit a couple over the fence. Defensively, the arm has gotten stronger and his actions have sharpened up. Schroeder will be a huge follow in the upcoming years.
