QUICK HITS 📝

Kain Sandridge RHP / OF / Jackson Prep, MS / 2028RHP Kain Sandridge (Jackson Prep, 2028) At 6-foot-5, 185 pounds, Sandridge has the frame and projection that immediately grab your attention. The 2028 right-hander works from a clean three-quarter arm slot, producing a heavy sinking fastball that has already reached 85 mph and projects to generate plenty of weak contact and ground balls as he continues to mature. His developing sweeper shows promising shape and gives him a secondary offering with real upside, while his combination of size, arm action, and athleticism points to significantly more velocity still to come. With plenty of physical development remaining and all the traits recruiters covet, Sandridge is one of the premier follow arms in Mississippi's 2028 class and a must-see prospect for college coaches. |
|
Cooper Loflin RHP / 3B / Pisgah, MS / 2029RHP Cooper Loflin (Pisgah HS, 2029) has established a strong foundation on the mound and is another arm in Mississippi's talented 2029 class with plenty of upside still to unlock. The 5-foot-10, 177-pound right-hander has already run his fastball up to 82 mph, showing the arm strength to compete now while projecting for more velocity as he continues to physically mature. He has an advanced feel for his secondary mix, featuring a breaking ball with promising shape that should continue to sharpen over time and a quality changeup that effectively kills spin while producing late arm-side fade. With his feel for pitching, developing arsenal, and room for growth, Loflin is another young arm recruiters should keep tabs on as he continues to climb. |
|
Pierce Malone SS / RHP / Jackson Prep, MS / 2030RHP Pierce Malone (Jackson Prep, 2030) is another exciting young arm in Mississippi's 2030 class with a bright future ahead. The 5-foot-10, 155-pound Jackson Prep right-hander has already reached 80 mph with his fastball and has plenty of physical maturity remaining, pointing to significant velocity gains in the coming years. What stands out most is his smooth, repeatable delivery, allowing him to consistently repeat his mechanics and laying the foundation for long-term success on the mound. Malone also shows an advanced feel for pitching with a four-pitch mix that includes a quality changeup and two distinct breaking balls, each with different shapes and movement profiles. Combining polish, pitchability, and projection, Malone is a young prospect whose best baseball is clearly still ahead of him and one recruiters should continue to follow closely. |

Brady Bosarge C / Madison Ridgeland Academy, MS / 2028C Brady Bosarge (Madison Ridgeland Academy, 2028) continues to make noticeable strides in his development and is proving that the work he's put in since the fall is paying off. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound catcher has added four miles per hour to his arm strength behind the plate, now reaching 74 mph while cutting his pop time down to an impressive 2.03 seconds. Offensively, he's also taken a step forward, increasing his power output with exit velocities up to 96.3 mph. Bosarge features a middle-to-pull side approach, consistently driving the baseball with authority, and still has plenty of physical maturity ahead of him. With continued development, his combination of improving defensive tools, growing power, and strong work ethic makes him a 2028 prospect recruiters should continue to monitor closely. |

Walker Thomas C / OF / Madison Central, MS / 2029C Walker Thomas (Madison Central, 2029) is an intriguing young catching prospect in Mississippi's 2029 class with plenty of upside as he continues to mature. Offensively, the left-handed hitter has already shown encouraging bat speed and strength, posting a 92.8 mph exit velocity on TrackMan. With a pull-side approach and a projectable frame that still has room for added strength, Thomas has the tools to continue making significant strides on both sides of the ball and is another young catcher worth following closely over the next few years. |

Russell Thomas, Jr. 3B / RHP / Madison Central, MS / 20293B Russell Thomas Jr. (Madison Central, 2029) is a young corner infielder with a solid foundation and plenty of room to develop into a complete player.
