The Bradenton Summer ID/Rising Stars ID took place on Wednesday, June 10, at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. The event featured players from the 2027-2030 classes participating in a pro-style workout, followed by bullpens in front of the Prep Baseball Florida Scouting Staff.

Today, we will share quick notes on the standouts from Wednesday’s event.

POWER BATS

2027 Jorge Cordova showed off impressive power to the pull side, leading the event in both max exit velocity (100.5 mph) and max distance (384 ft). 2028 Ryland Sander produced several hard line drives, with a 96.8 mph exit velo and distance of 360 ft. 2028 Cooper Bennett had the second highest distance at 361 ft.

PITCHERS

2027 Henry Britt showed off a strong arm on the mound, reaching 91.2 mph. Britt also worked in a slider (78.3 mph, 2396 RPM) and changeup (83.2, 1235). 2028 Ryland Sander's curveball impressed with -6.2 IVB and -2.7 HM. His arsenal also included a fastball (88.2, 2303) and changeup (81.3, 1887). 2027 Jorge Cordova’s fastball hit 86.7 mph, the third highest at the event. He also threw a changeup (78.5, 1490), curveball (79.8, 2268), and sinker (86.6, 2068).

DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS

2028 Ian Fowler had an outstanding day in the field, leading the event with a 96 mph velo from the outfield. During infield work, Fowler displayed impressive gloveside range, reaching 89 mph. 2027 Jorge Cordova led the group with a 90 mph infield velocity, showcasing a consistent arm from the shortstop position.

ATHLETES

2028 Owen Kirchner, 2028 Ian Fowler, and 2027 Caden Wollerton all showed above-average athleticism at the Bradenton Summer ID. Kirchner led the way with a 6.81 60-yard dash time while also having a vertical of 26.9 inches. Fowler’s 31.1-inch vertical was the highest of the day, adding on a 6.90 60-yard time as well. Wollerton had a 6.88 60-yard time, which was the third fastest in the group, while also logging a 25.1-inch vertical.
