UT Class of 2028: Post-Summer Rankings Update

The summer has come to a close and the fall is getting ready to ramp up. We had a busy summer covering tournaments around the state, along with the Four Corners ProCase, Summer IDs and Top Prospect Games. This class continues to develop, with new prospects emerging and players continuing to make gains. With a full summer schedule now complete, the Utah 2028 rankings have received an update as the class heads into the fall.

As always, the evaluation process is fluid and ongoing, with multiple viewings used to get the best feel for each player's abilities. As players continue their development, some show marked improvement at a more rapid pace. That does not indicate that other players have gotten worse or gone backward; it is simply how player development works. As the year unfolds, players make improvements and new prospects emerge, expanding the Prep Baseball rankings universe. In addition to evaluating players, our scouts have held multiple discussions to review individual lists and make adjustments based on what each evaluator has seen.
The latest rankings account for in-person evaluations, recent performance, physical development and measurable gains. Below, we take a closer look at the Top 10 prospects in Utah's 2028 class, followed by the next 20 players in the updated rankings.
This class has the potential to be one of the deepest, and most talented overall classes in recent memory, including two All-American Game selections at the top. Stay tuned as the Fall begins and players begin to settle into the new school year...
