Tavake Wolfgramm, Pleasant Grove (UT), 2028
Positional Profile: C/OF Tavake comes from bloodlines, as his brother Tua was a star at Pleasant Grove and was a member of Team Utah at the '23 Future Games and subsequently committed to BYU, where he is a freshman UTL player looking to make and gain his mark
Body: 5-8, 150-pounds. Med thin athletic frame with considerable room to project. With room for another 30-35 Lbs of added strength and maturity to come.
Hit: LHH. Upright narrow even prop stances, with the ability to be on time and uses his setup to roll under pitches with his back left shoulder to generate leverage. An on-plane plane of attack with his bat circle to create a backspin type effect with all fields use and hits it where it's pitched 67.2 mph bat speed with 19 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, averaged 73.3 mph. 340' max distance. Gap power now and able to drive the ball to the RCF alley and into the RF corner. With physical maturity shows the instincts to hit and find the barrel. More over the fence type production as he physically develops
Arm: RH. C-77 mph. OF-80 mph. Arm plays at multiple spots and shows defensive versatility. Full complete fluid arm circle with quick feet and fluid exchange
Defense: 1.95-2.08 pop times. Frames well for a 15 year old and will only get better as his baseball IQ marinates. Shows the tendency to really get rid of the ball quickly to make up for a lack of pure arm strength. Quick fluid exchange with his back side coming through for proper arm ext out front
ATH: 7.16 runner in the 60. Running similar to his brother at the same time…Tua went from 7.4 to 6.6/60's and made some of the biggest tool growths of any player of the past 4+ years
Vizual Edge: 77.32 Edge Score

The younger brother of former Future Games alum and current freshman at BYU, Tua Wolfgramm. Tavake has the same kind of twitchy athletic ceiling as his brother. Tavake runs better at the same age and Tua was a 7.4 as a sophomore and in a year's time was running a 6.65! Tavake ran a 7.1/60 and showed the same twitchy athletic build and body as his brother. A 92.4 EV as a rising freshman with a bat speed max of 72.4 bolds well for the future and appears to be on the triple digit track as he continues to fill out and mature with added strength. At 5-8 150, the body features a short torso and long trim lower ½ with a high waist. The LHH shows an upright narrow even prop stance with a slight knee lift to allow his body to get moving properly, while loading to a 45 degree angle and getting separated into a soft landing at foot strike. The hands are fast and he takes a short approach to the ball, with an inside the baseball attack angle, while accelerating through the baseball and is long after contact into a full high and two handed finish. As an OF, he takes a calculated and educated approach to the ball with a low and open glove and allows the ball to travel to the glove with confidence and gets off an OH fast arm with finish and ext. out front. Behind the plate, he excels with a lead left leg from a right knee down setup. The lower ½ travels in a direct line to his target and the arm is quick and fluid through release with sub 2.0 pop times (1.96-2.05) and is online with carry at times through his target. The angle of his throws work downhill and when one hopping a throw, it's direct and on the money. An athlete that looks the part of his Swiss Army knife brother at multiple positions. But a LHH catcher with the ability to play the OF and run at such a young age, gives promise for a dynamic multi-tooled next level player. With all 4 years of HS remaining, this is a future D1 caliber “athletically” tooled up player that should explode on the scene in future years!
