On Wednesday, July 1st, the PB Texas staff traveled to McLennan Community College in Waco, TX, to host the Top Prospect Games: Waco, an invite-only event for all high school classes.

More than 35 players made their way to McLennan CC and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports on every outfielder in attendance as well as rank the top 5 from the event.

TOP OUTFIELD PROSPECTS

1. Reid Overstreet, Rockwall (TX), 2028
Positional Profile: LHP/OF LHH/OF/LHP...athletic. Plus runner. Can play all 3 OF spots. Can impact baseball. Project solid bat power with adjustments. LHP watch development. Arm works, look for arm speed and velocity to increase. Developing secondary. Flashed quality stuff.
Body: 6-0, 180.6 pounds. Width to shoulders/back. Good middle/lower, projects well for adding strength.
Hit: LHH. Rotational back foot, doesn't get fully turned limiting lower use. Get back foot turned driving forward to fully engage lower 1/2 thru completion of swing. Hits into firm front leg, stride foot into ground, solid posture. Hands/barrel in solid launch position. Takes good path to baseball, cuts swing off. Work to keep top hand palm to sky driving thru baseball with extension. Top hand wrist breaks early.
Power: 99 mph max exit velocity (87.8 avg.); 376-foot max batted distance.
Arm: LH. OF - 90 mph. Can throw, solid keeping baseball down thru cutoff.
Defense: Can play CF. Moves well to baseball, work to field baseball out front off right foot. Range present and will continue to firm.
Athletic Testing: 6.88 runner in the 60-yard dash; 21.90-inch max vertical jump. Plus runner. Solid run form and stride length.
