2026 Future Games: Day 3 Recap

LAKEPOINT, GA – Future Games Week continued on Thursday with another busy day at LakePoint Sports, as Alabama's 2030 prospects took center stage during the Junior Future Games workouts before Team Alabama opened gameplay at the 2026 Future Games later in the evening. Both Team Alabama and Team Southeast represented the state well during the morning workouts, while several individual performances stood out during Team Alabama's matchup with Tennessee.

Junior Future Games

The 2026 Junior Future Games officially got underway Thursday morning with the annual pro-style workout, giving Alabama's talented group of 2030 prospects their first opportunity to perform on the national stage.

Team Alabama began its workout at 9:00 a.m. EST, with Team Southeast following shortly behind at 9:15 a.m. EST. Alabama's representatives on both rosters turned in strong showings throughout the morning, displaying their tools and athleticism in front of those gathered around the complex.

Attention now shifts to pool play, which begins Friday for both teams. Team Alabama opens against Connecticut at 8:30 a.m. EST, while Team Southeast begins gameplay against Colorado at 4:30 p.m. EST.

Future Games

Team Alabama officially opened gameplay at the 2026 Future Games on Thursday evening against a talented Team Tennessee club. Tennessee's offense proved difficult to slow down throughout the contest, handing the Bama Boys a 15-2 loss, but multiple Alabama prospects still provided noteworthy performances in front of the hundreds of college coaches surrounding Field 11.

OF Evan Money supplied the biggest swing of the night for Team Alabama, launching a home run to left field in the second inning. The right-handed hitter continued to find the barrel later in the contest with a 101 mph single, finishing with multiple hits and providing another look at the impact offensive ability that has continued to elevate his profile.

3B Jordon Lankford also produced one of the loudest pieces of contact of the night, driving a double to right field at 100.4 mph. C Hunter House added a single to left field, while INF Hunter Elmore collected a hit of his own as Alabama's offense continued to battle throughout the contest.

LHP Kingston Sims drew the start for Team Alabama and worked at 86-87 mph while reaching 88.2 mph with the fastball. His slider operated at 75-77 mph and spun up to 2,546 RPM, while a 78-79 mph changeup rounded out the arsenal. Sims battled through some adversity against an aggressive Tennessee lineup before handing the ball off after two innings.

LHP Mac Nunnally followed and also had to navigate a difficult Tennessee offense. The southpaw worked at 85-87 mph and reached 88.2 mph with his fastball, mixing a 71-73 mph curveball and 76-78 mph changeup.

LHP Drew Jackson III provided the strongest outing of the night for Team Alabama and saw his stuff take another jump on the national stage. Jackson worked comfortably at 86-89 mph before reaching 91.9 mph with a fastball that spun up to 2,660 RPM. He paired it with a firm 80-84 mph slider that reached 2,606 RPM and showed the type of swing-and-miss qualities that should generate plenty of attention from college recruiters throughout the week.

RHP/INF Brandon Garth Jr. handled the final two innings for Alabama and settled in against the Tennessee lineup. Garth operated at 87-89 mph with the fastball and mixed a 73-75 mph slider, providing a solid finish to the night for the Bama Boys.

What's Ahead

Friday brings the busiest day yet for Alabama's representatives at LakePoint, with all three teams returning to action.

Junior Future Games pool play begins in the morning with Team Alabama taking on Connecticut at 8:30 a.m. EST. Team Southeast follows later in the day with its pool-play opener against Colorado at 4:30 p.m. EST.

At the Future Games, Team Alabama will look to bounce back against Florida at 1:00 p.m. EST on Field 10. Both teams will take on-field batting practice and defensive infield/outfield beginning at 12:00 p.m. before first pitch.

RHP Ethan Levanda is scheduled to work innings 1-2 against Florida, followed by RHP Barrett McKelvey in innings 3-4. RHP Aiden Trammell will handle innings 5-6 before LHP Brayden Entrekin takes the final two frames.
