Data Dive: Hawaii Rising Stars Games
June 25, 2026
PEARL CITY HS - The Hawaii Rising Stars Games was held on Friday, June 5th and Saturday, June 6th at Pearl City High School. The event featured prospects from the 2030-2031 classes, each looking to make a statement early in their high school careers.
Participants took part in a full showcase workout that included batting practice tracked by TrackMan and Blast Motion, 60-yard dash testing powered by VALD Performance, and a complete defensive evaluation. Pitchers competed in live game action, capturing advanced metrics via our TrackMan unit such as pitch velocity, spin rate, and horizontal and vertical movement.
The event featured a strong group of young talent, with several players showing advanced tools for their age while continuing to build their Prep Baseball profiles.
We continue our coverage of the Hawaii Rising Stars Games with a look at the top overall performances from the event. To view the full event leaderboards, view our EVENT NEWS page, or use the link below.

VALD PERFORMANCE
TOP 60-YARD DASH
Traditionally, the 60-yard dash has been the in-event standard to help measure a player's speed tool. We implemented three timing gates at the 10- and 30-yard splits, to capture athletes’ quickness, explosiveness and reaction time. From there, we will calculate an athlete’s top-end speed in miles per hour. While the measurement still has its utility, the 10-yard split has started to become more and more applicable in determining the player's burst and reaction time in-game, whether that's in the outfield or on the basepaths.
