Senior RHP Drew Gage (uncommitted) made two dominate appearance on the mound for Straford as the Tigers went 3-0. On the week, the right-hander made a start and a relief appearance, tossing eight total innings, allowing one run, on three hits and one walk, while striking out 17. Gage would also provide some production with the bat, tallying three hits, one RBI, three walks, and one run. For this reason, the right-hander has been named this week’s pitcher of the week.

Gage made his lone start Monday against Nekoosa in a 15-1 run-rule victory, where he would toss five innings of one-run ball, allowing one hit and one walk, while striking out 12. The right-hander would then make an appearance out of the bullpen against Laona, tossing three scoreless innings, allowing two hits, one walk, and striking out five, en route to a 9-3 victory. A dominant senior year on the mound, with his season totals now sitting at 10-0 with 51 innings pitched, one save, 74 strikeouts, and a 0.87 ERA.

Currently unranked in our 2026 class, Gage is an arm that we haven't seen much in person, but has made noise while with Statford. The arsenal has been up 84 mph as it continues to gain polish as he’s grown older. But he hasn't just been showing up on the mound, it has also come with the bat. The right-handed bat is slashing .455/.543/.561, with a 1.104 OPS, five doubles, one triple, and 27 RBIs. Now looking to help lead a strong Statford roster into the postseason.
