Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Washington Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.
Additionally, we will continue our Washington Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.
This week's Pitcher of the Week is '27 RHP Sam Kolb (Desales Catholic).

Samuel Kolb RHP / 3B / Desales Catholic High School, WA / 2027The junior was dominant across two outings last week, winning Pitcher of the Week in week 9 of HS action. The lean righty went 12 innings overall, allowing just a single hit and run. He walked just 2 hitters and struck out 32. Kolb was most recently seen at the Central Washington Preseason ID in Moses Lake this winter. |
