Excelsior Springs secured a 2-0 victory over Orchard Farm in the Class 4 State Championship on Thursday, powered by an early first-inning single from Brody Querry that drove in the game's only two runs. Landon Marcum was brilliant on the mound for the victors, tossing a complete-game one-hitter with four strikeouts. Despite the loss, Orchard Farm pitcher Ty Thorp delivered an impressive performance of his own, striking out six while matching Marcum with a complete-game effort.

Blair Oaks dominated Duchesne 11-1 in the Class 3 State Championship on Thursday, powered by Hayden Lackman's explosive four-RBI performance featuring a pair of run-scoring triples. Winning pitcher Vander Halford held the opposition in check, scattering four hits and striking out six over five innings of work. Duchesne found an early spark in the first inning when Ben Winterer drove in their lone run of the contest.
