Woodson 10, West Potomac 0
It was all Woodson, all night. The Cavaliers scored in bunches, beginning with their six run second inning. That second inning would prove to be more than enough, but they would tack on some insurance on the back end of the game to end it early. Woodson outhit West Potomac 10-3, while also leading the strikeout totals with the Cavs staff garnering 9 strikeouts from the West Po offense. Ian Sawtelle and Nicholas Prabhakar (Ohio Wesleyan) paced the Woodson offense with multiple hits, while Bryce Walkinshaw, Grant Goltry, and Robbie Worster had their own standout moments on offense as well. Ben Torbert dazzled on the mound, throwing five shutout innings, surrendering only two hits, walked one, and struck out nine.

#18 Cosby 5, #11 James River (Midlothian) 4
This game came down to the wire as both teams had chances to win. Blake LaMattina (JMU) had a strong showing with two hits on the day and three solid innings of relief getting the win. Luca Briggs produced in a big way with four hits on the day with one being the walkoff single to win the game. Landon Smith and Owen Wears had some big hits late to keep the Rapids in the game.

Riverside 5, Heritage (Leesburg) 3
A pair of Leesburg powers faced off on Tuesday night in a non-District game as the regular season winds down. The game was a pitcher’s duel early as Aiden Delaney (Mount St. Mary’s) allowed just 1 run in 4 innings for Heritage and Brayden Dowdall took a shutout into the sixth inning for the Rams. Riverside took the lead in the third when a Lukas Harbour leadoff double was followed by a Chris Suarez RBI triple. Suarez would add another RBI on a double over the third base bag in the fifth to make it 2-0, and Riverside would add three more in the sixth to take a 5-0 lead into the final frame. Heritage was able to get the tying run on base in the seventh, but Brayden Zook was able to close out the Senior Night win for the Rams. Michael DeMasi had 3 hits for Heritage and Charlie DePippo and Colby Leinbach joined Suarez with multi-hit nights for the Rams.

Union 8, John Battle 4
Battle jumped out to an early lead, courtesy of Casey Rector (Rutgers) and company. The Trojans put up 75% of their runs in the first two innings, but the offense would go dormant for pretty much the rest of the game. It was not until the sixth when Union’s offense would wake up. The Bears scored six runs in the final two frames to take down the Trojans and advance to the Mountain District Championship game. While Rector and Caden Sturgill led the charge for the Trojans, Kam Bishop, Braxton Bunch, and Abe Hall all had multi hit nights for the Bears.

#23 Abingdon 6, Lee 0
The Falcons rolled through Lee High with a shutout from the pitching staff. Hayden Reed worked six scoreless while allowing only four hits and striking out ten. The offense was limited for both teams, with both Abingdon and Lee having four hits a piece. The Falcons took advantage of seven walks and some timely hitting in the third and fourth innings.

Herndon 10, Yorktown 2
The Herndon Hornets blew out the Yorktown Patriots in the Liberty District Semifinal, 10-2. The Patriots took an early 1-0 lead in the 1st off a sac-fly from ‘26 Leo Holt (Penn State-Harrisburg). The 1-0 score would last until the 5th, when the Hornets offense took fire. Herndon scored three in the 5th, three in the 6th, and four in the 7th off a total of twelve hits. Their offense was led by a five RBI day from ‘26 Jacob Park and a two-hit performance from ‘26 Charles Morgan. ‘27 Noah Lambrinides (Richmond) started for the Hornets and pitched four quality innings. For Yorktown, ‘26 Aidan McCracken (St. Mary’s - Maryland) had three hits.

Mountain View 4, Colonial Forge 1
Tyler VanDyke (VMI) gave the Wildcats a quality start on the mound and helped lead them to this win. He kept the Colonial Forge offense at bay only allowing one run on two hits. Mountain View had contributions up and down the lineup as they put up four runs on the night. Offense was limited for the Eagles as Collin Graniero and Michael Guckian had hits on the night. Bryce Arbogast punched out 5 in 2 innings of relief for Forge.
