The 2026 high school baseball season is underway and, as usual, excitement is present throughout Minnesota. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across the North Star State.

Each week we will be releasing our Power Rankings, Scout Blog, Diamond Notes, and Player of The Week, covering all the bases. Today, we look at the scores from our teams in our Power Rankings.

+ No. 1 Mounds View took its first loss of the season, falling 8-5 to White Bear Lake to move to 9-1. The Mustangs had production throughout the lineup. Jack Glancey (2026, OF, UW-La Crosse) left the yard for a solo shot, Carter Byers (2026, 1B, Bethel) went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Jack Tretter (2026, 3B, St. Mary's) added two hits and drove in two. On the mound, Andrew Gette (2026, RHP, Miami) worked three innings, allowing four runs with just one earned while striking out four.
+ No. 3 Chaska responded after its first loss with an 11-0 win over Bloomington Jefferson. Matthew Welter (2026, RHP/1B, Augustana) carried the load on both sides, going 2-for-2 with two home runs and throwing all five shutout innings. Owen Strey (2026, SS, Creighton) added a 2-for-3 day with a double, a home run, and two RBI, and Parker Killian (2026, RHP/OF, Minnesota) connected for his first home run of the season. The Hawks are now 7-1.
+ No. 4 Andover dropped a tight one to Spring Lake Park, 6-5. The Huskies held a 5-4 lead into the late innings before a pair of errors in the seventh opened the door. Danny Scheller (2026, OF, SIUE) went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI, while Jack Simpson (2027, RHP, Uncommitted) gave them length on the mound, working 6.1 innings with eight strikeouts. Andover moves to 9-3.
+ No. 5 Shakopee continues to stack wins, outlasting Apple Valley in nine innings to extend its streak to seven. Colton Jenks (2026, 1B, Uncommitted) went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, and an RBI, while Brodie Sullivan (2026, OF, Uncommitted) added two RBI. The Sabers are now 9-1.
+ No. 9 Woodbury bounced back with an 8-3 win over Roseville. Kai Larsen (2026, SS, UW-La Crosse) set the tone with a 2-for-3 day and two stolen bases. Emmett Snuggerud (2026, OF, Uncommitted) delivered the big swings, finishing 1-for-3 with a triple and four RBI. On the mound, Charlie Zavadsky (2026, RHP, Uncommitted) worked five innings, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out six. The Royals move to 9-2.
+ No. 10 Rosemount jumped out early and controlled it in a 4-0 win. Jacob Michel (2027, IF, Oregon) went 2-for-2 with two RBI and a stolen base. Evan Boll (2026, RHP/IF, Uncommitted) handled the mound, working six innings of one-hit ball with seven strikeouts. Rosemount improves to 8-2.
