In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. The game was tied at zero in the bottom of the seventh when Maxx Grieme singled, scoring one run. Both teams were strong on the mound. Taylorville Varsity Tornadoes pitchers struck out two, while Normal West Varsity Wildcats sat down seven. Kason Pembroke earned the win for Taylorville Varsity Tornadoes. The hurler gave up three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking two. Riley Larkin took the loss for Normal West Varsity Wildcats. The reliever went one and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out two and walking two. Mayson Aslinger opened the game for the Wildcats. The pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking none. Calen Riter, Aslinger, and Jasper Pomis each collected one hit for Normal West Varsity Wildcats. Pomis stole two bases. Normal West didn't commit a single error. Normal West Varsity Wildcats will travel to Champaign Central to take on the Champaign Centennial Chargers for their 3A Regional on Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
