Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.

We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. No. 1 St. Laurence moves to 14-0 in CCL Blue play for the first time in program history with their 10-7 win over No. 5 Brother Rice. Cory Les (2026; Louisville) paced the Vikings' offense with three hits including two doubles while driving in one. Mickey Lotus (2026, Lewis; 2-for-5, 3B, R), Sean Popp (2026, Oakton CC; 2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, R), Jacob Hite (2028; 2-for-3, 3B, BB, 2 RBI, 3 R, 2 SB), Orlando Vazquez (2026; 2-for-3, 2B, RBI), and Ryan Lotus (2027; 2-for-4, 2 RBI, R) all helped contribute offensively in the win. Out of the 'pen, Luke Arroyo (2026) and Carter Mosher (2026; Joliet JC) provided scoreless appearances to secure the victory. For Brother Rice, Brady Cunningham (2027; Texas A&M) had a big day at the plate going 2-for-2 with a home run, a walk, two RBI, and two runs scored, while Gavin Stanislawski (2027) also homered.

No. 2 Normal Community shutout No. 17 Normal University 3-0. Gavin Swartz (2026; Indiana) got the ball to start and earned the win, tossing four scoreless allowing just one walk, while punching out five. Beckett Weber (2026) tossed the final three frames, scattering two hits and a walk, while striking out four. On offense for the Ironmen, Drew Stevens (2026; Valparaiso) and Josh Jones (2026; Indiana State) each recorded two hits, with Stevens driving in a pair of runs. The win moves Normal Community's record to 27-2.

Lake Forest 7

Lake Forest defeated No. 8 Libertyville 7-6. Callum Morrison (2026) continued to throw the ball well for the Scouts, earning the win over six and a third, allowing three earned runs while punching out eight. Owen Koehnemann (2028) led the way offensively going 2-for-3 with a triple, four RBI, and a run scored. Charlie Quick (2026) and Henry Burke (2028) also recorded two hits in the win. For Libertyville, Trevor Wallace (2026; Wilmington) tallied two hits including a triple, while Carson Holmes (2026) swatted a homer. The win moves Lake Forest's record to 22-5.

No. 16 Marquette shutout Seneca 15-0 to move to 27-1 on the year. Anthony Couch (2026; Spoon River JC) and Rocky Haiduke (2028) each homered in the win, while Alec Novotney (2026; Valparaiso) went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, two RBI, and two runs scored. Griffin Dobberstein (2027) and Caden Durdan (2027) also recorded two hits in the win. Dobberstein also notched the win on the mound, tossing three and two-thirds scoreless allowing just two hits while striking out five.

No. 19 Minooka rolled past Bolingbrook 21-6 in a dominant offensive performance. The offense was balanced throughout, with nine players recording a hit, nine driving in a run, and 11 scoring a run. Brady Kozlowski (2026; Findlay commit; HR, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R), Brayden Carlson (2026; Wisconsin-Platteville commit; 2 2B, 3 RBI) and Ryan Keener (2026; Illinois Wesleyan commit; 2 H, RBI, 2 R, BB, SB) led the charge for the Indians. Logan Mackin was sharp on the mound going four innings allowing one run on two hits, while striking out seven. Lucas Zito (2027) doubled and drove in three for Bolingbrook.

No. 22 Edwardsville took down Collinsville by a score of 9-5. Edwardsville had the bats working at the plate, collecting 13 hits as a team. Jack Kirgan (2026) led the scoring, driving in three runs in a 2-for-3 performance where he collected a double and a triple on the day. Sutton Leas (2027) and Andrrew McCutchen (2029) both drove in two on the day, with each player finishing 2-for-4 with a double and 1-for-4 with a run scored, respectively. Tyson Wampler (2028) was also swinging a hot bat, collecting two doubles in a 2-for-3 day with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored. Miller Dunnill (2027) got the start and went six innings, allowing three hits, three runs (one earned), two walks and and striking out four.

Glenwood outlasted Springfield 15–10 in a back-and-forth battle to earn its 20th win of the season. Dylan Huff (2026; Toledo commit; 3-for-5, 2B, 2 RBI, 3 R), Grady Mueller (2026; 3B, 2B, RBI) and Cole Woodward (2028; 3B, RBI, 2 R) led the way for the Titans. Despite the loss, Springfield had four players with three hits: Connor Borah (2029), Wade Snyder (2026; 2B, 3 RBI), Brody Scheffler (2026; Lincoln Land JC commit; HR, 4 RBI), and Karter Marks (2027).

Romeoville shutout Plainfield East 6-0. Jack Mulheron (2027) tossed a complete game on the mound, allowing four hits and punching out four, while also recording two hits of his own at the plate. Richard Conley (2026) and Jeremy Thompson (2026; Quincy) also tallied two hits in the win.

Fisher shutout Tuscola 14-0. Colt Daugherty (2029) tossed five innings of shutout ball allowing two hits and two walks, while striking out seven. Daugherty also went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk, three RBI, and two runs scored. Weston Ensign (2028) went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored to help contribute to the win.

Saint Viator 9

Saint Viator defeated Rolling Meadows 9-5. Tanner Beyna (2027) earned the win, tossing four innings, giving up one earned run. Brandon Thomsen (2026, Purdue; 2-for-3, HR, 5 RBI), Alec Harer (2027; 1-for-3, 2 R), Jonathan Tschanz (2026, SWIC; 1-for-3, 2 RBI, R), Tommy Beyna (2026; 1-for-1, RBI), Jacob Oberwise (2026; 1-for-2), and Hunter Lockefeer (2028; 1-for-3, R) all contributed offensively in the win. Saint Viator improves to 21-7-1.

Wheaton-Warrenville South defeated Lake Park 7-3. AJ Rogers (2028) was sharp on the mound giving up one earned run over 6.1 innings, while striking out five. Rogers also added two hits at the plate including a double and two RBI. Jacob Conover (2026; Missouri Southern) collected two hits including a double and Blake Snyder tripled.

Streamwood took down South Elgin 10-5. Xander Castiglione was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Connor Flynn was a perfect 4-for-4 with a homer. Adan Rojas was 3-for-4 with three home runs - one of which being a grand slam, totaling secen RBIs. Jash Zamora fired a complete game on the mound and allowed just one earned run.

Alleman defeated Riverdale 6-5. Drew Peterson (2027) led the way offensively going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Alton shutout Belleville East 4-0. Anderson Kaufmann (2028) earned the win, tossing five scoreless allowing just one hit while punching out ten. Jack Puent (2026) earned the save, tossing the final two frames without surrendering a run, while allowing two hits and a walk with two strikeouts. Alex Pilger (2026; 2-for-3, RBI), Donavon Ducey (2027; 2-for-3, RBI, BB), Anderson Kaufmann (2028; 1-for-2, BB, 2 R), and Deacon Alm (2027; 1-for-2, BB) led the way offensively in the win.

Nazareth Academy 10

Nazareth Academy rolled past Westmont 10-1. Landon Thome (2026; Florida State commit) had a big day going 3-for-3 with a HR, 2B and three RBI. Gavin Hartigan (2027) also had a big day at the plate going 3-for-4 with a HR and two RBI. Four Roadrunners pitchers combined for five innings, allowing just one run on five hits while striking out 12.

Wilmington 11

Wilmington took down Streator 11-1. Ryan Kettman threw three innings with just two hits allowed, no runs, no walks and three strikeouts - also going 2-for-3 with a triple ad four RBIs. Brysen Meents added two innings with two hits, one run allowed, two walks and two strikeouts.

St. Rita took down Curie 16-1. Joe Camer (2026; 3-for-4, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI, 2 R) and Sully Kazee (2026, Southeastern CC; 2-for-3, 4 RBI) led the way with their bats in the victory.

Glenbrook South took down Evanston 7-2. Cam Lewis threw six scoreless innings allowing just one hit with nine strikeouts. Reid Chamberlain was 1-for-2 with a triple and a run scored, also stealing a base. Xander Kourvetaris had three RBIs while going 2-for-3. Charlie Krauss drove in a run and scored twice while going 1-for-2.

Naperville North 10

Naperville North beat Neuqua Valley 10-7 to go up 2-0 in the season series. Sam Steele (2028; HR, 2 RBI, 2 R, BB), Caden Vorwick (2027; 2-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R, SB), and Noah Tumpane (2027; 2-for-3, 2 RBI, 2 R, BB) led the offense. Max Steele (2026; Benedictine commit) went the distance on the mound, allowing seven runs—only three of them earned—while striking out six. He also contributed at the plate with two hits and two RBI. Matt Mikuta (2028; 3-for-4, HR, 3 RBI, 2 R) had a strong performance for Neuqua Valley.

Richards took down Shepard 3-2. Luis DeAvila threw 6.2 innings with two runs allowed on six hits, striking out 10 - also going 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Henry Williams notched the save. Ryan Golinski was a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs scored and four stolen bases. Noah Escobedo was 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored.

Maine East defeated Niles West 3-2. Edgar Berge (2026) pitched six and two-thirds to earn the win on the mound while also swatting a two-run homer at the plate to lead Maine East to the win.

DePaul College Prep took down Loyola Academy 12-9. Addison Latko (2026; Illinois commit; HR, 3 RBI), Lake Donahue (2027; 3-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI, R) and Quinn Roberts (2026; Wisconsin-Whitewater commit; 2-for-4, 2 RBI, 2 R, BB) led the way for the Rams. Bennett Kono (2028; 2-for-4, HR, RBI, 2 R) had a solid day for the Ramblers.

DeKalb blanked Metea Valley 10-0 behind a strong five innings from Breydon Martin (2026). Martin allowed four hits and three walks, while striking out nine. Cole Latimer (2026; NIU commit; 2-for-3, HR, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R) had a big day at the plate, while Caden Smith (2027) and Luke Duffy (2027) each added a hit and three RBI.
