Welcome to the IHSA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Illinois staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger, as well as through MaxPreps and Twitter. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected], or through our IHSA Submitted Scores form, which they’re able to request by emailing our staff or by sending a us a DM over Twitter. No. 1 St. Laurence moves to 14-0 in CCL Blue play for the first time in program history with their 10-7 win over No. 5 Brother Rice. Cory Les (2026; Louisville) paced the Vikings' offense with three hits including two doubles while driving in one. Mickey Lotus (2026, Lewis; 2-for-5, 3B, R), Sean Popp (2026, Oakton CC; 2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI, R), Jacob Hite (2028; 2-for-3, 3B, BB, 2 RBI, 3 R, 2 SB), Orlando Vazquez (2026; 2-for-3, 2B, RBI), and Ryan Lotus (2027; 2-for-4, 2 RBI, R) all helped contribute offensively in the win. Out of the 'pen, Luke Arroyo (2026) and Carter Mosher (2026; Joliet JC) provided scoreless appearances to secure the victory. For Brother Rice, Brady Cunningham (2027; Texas A&M) had a big day at the plate going 2-for-2 with a home run, a walk, two RBI, and two runs scored, while Gavin Stanislawski (2027) also homered.

Gavin Swartz (2026; Indiana) got the ball to start and earned the win, tossing four scoreless allowing just one walk, while punching out five. Beckett Weber (2026) tossed the final three frames, scattering two hits and a walk, while striking out four. On offense for the Ironmen, Drew Stevens (2026; Valparaiso) and Josh Jones (2026; Indiana State) each recorded two hits, with Stevens driving in a pair of runs. The win moves Normal Community's record to 27-2.

Callum Morrison (2026) continued to throw the ball well for the Scouts, earning the win over six and a third, allowing three earned runs while punching out eight. Owen Koehnemann (2028) led the way offensively going 2-for-3 with a triple, four RBI, and a run scored. Charlie Quick (2026) and Henry Burke (2028) also recorded two hits in the win. For Libertyville, Trevor Wallace (2026; Wilmington) tallied two hits including a triple, while Carson Holmes (2026) swatted a homer. The win moves Lake Forest's record to 22-5.

Jack Kirgan (2026) led the scoring, driving in three runs in a 2-for-3 performance where he collected a double and a triple on the day. Sutton Leas (2027) and Andrrew McCutchen (2029) both drove in two on the day, with each player finishing 2-for-4 with a double and 1-for-4 with a run scored, respectively. Tyson Wampler (2028) was also swinging a hot bat, collecting two doubles in a 2-for-3 day with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored. Miller Dunnill (2027) got the start and went six innings, allowing three hits, three runs (one earned), two walks and and striking out four.
