2026 CHSAA Power 25 Update: Week 8

Colorado Power 25

The Prep Baseball Colorado staff is looking forward to diligently scouting players and teams throughout this spring, and will continue to work hard to bring the state top notch coverage on the baseball diamond. Colorado is flourishing with high-end baseball talent at the moment and is starting to gather more and more national recognition as well. We hope to continue all momentum in the state while making an impact on the players and teams within.

Throughout the 2026 season, our staff will be publishing scout notes/video, and additional in-season content along the way, like Power 25 updates, Player of the Week awards, 'Daily Roundups', and weekly top performers included inside Diamond Notes.

During the season, you can catch all the action by following us on Twitter/X: @PrepBaseball_CO  or Instagram: @PrepBaseballCO

TOP 25 (WEEK 8):

Both Regis Jesuit and Arvada West continue to set the tone atop the state, each navigating the spring slate without a blemish against in-state competition. Their consistency hasn’t just kept them in control, it’s created a clear gap between the contenders and the rest of the field as the postseason picture begins to take shape.

Further down the rankings, there’s plenty of movement. Mountain Vista makes a strong entrance, winners of 10 of their last 11, riding a wave of momentum at just the right time. With a roster full of emerging contributors, they’re a group that feels built to make noise once the playoffs arrive. Douglas County also cracks the list at #25, sitting at 12-6 on the year and bringing with them a résumé-boosting 10-6 win over #3 Broomfield, a result that proves they can hang with anyone on a given day.

As things stand, the top 10 appear to be trending toward securing those coveted regional host spots, but nothing comes easy from there. The back half of the CHSAA RPI remains in constant flux, with teams across the Rockies trading blows on a near-daily basis. Parity is alive and well, and with every game carrying postseason implications, the race to the finish is shaping up to be as unpredictable as ever.
