Week of 4/20

Steven Thomas Jr 3B / 1B / Colonie, NY / 2027

Multi-sport athlete (QB1) with a standout hit tool and emerging extra-base power. Off to a blazing start this spring, slashing .462 AVG, .550 OBP, and 1.165 OPS with early run production.
Athleticism and offensive production point to a rising follow.

 

 

Ben Kaulback 3B / RHP / CBA-Syracuse, NY / 2027

High-ceiling 6-3, 180 lb two-way prospect off to a dominant start this spring. Impact bat (.474 AVG / .524 OBP / 1.313 OPS) with extra-base production, paired with strong results on the mound (7.1 IP, 11 K). FB/SL combo shows clear swing-and-miss traits. Early production and underlying stuff point to a rising follow with upside on both sides of the ball.

 

 

Francis Conners-Schmid OF / LHP / Salisbury School, CT / 2028

Explosive 6-2, 220 lb two-way prospect with a present hit tool and juice in the bat. Off to a strong start this season, leading the team with a .381 AVG (3 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR). On the mound, has been electric out of the pen—9.1 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 14 K.

 

 

Owen Widger 3B / 1B / The Cheshire Academy, CT / 2027

High-performing left-handed hitting corner infielder off to a dominant start at the plate, slashing .588 AVG, .680 OBP, and 1.621 OPS with heavy extra-base production (6 doubles, 9 RBI) for an undefeated Cheshire Academy squad. 

 

 

 

Brady Williams 3B / RHP / Rumson-Fair Haven, NJ / 2028

Williams is a 6-foot-4, 221-pound multi-sport athlete and two-way prospect to keep an eye on. He provides power at the plate with exit velocities up to 97.9 mph and a max distance of 358 feet. On the mound, he sits 85-86 mph and tops 87 mph. His offspeed pitches are a curveball at 72-75 mph, a slider at 70-74 mph, and a changeup of 74-75 mph. Williams is an impactful player on both sides of the baseball.

 

 

Adriel Huertas RHP / 2B / Bergen Catholic High School, NJ / 2028

Huertas is an intriguing 2028 prospect from North Jersey that has an impressive arm talent on the mound and an impactful swing at the plate. The 5-foot-7, 185-pounds right-handed pitcher throws his fastball 86-88 mph and tops at 88.4 mph with over 2,500 rpm spin rate. His breaking pitches are both spun at an impressive rate, the curveball is 71-75 mph with over 2,900 rpm and his slider is 75-77 mph with over 2,900 rpm. Offensively, Huertas has a loose and athletic swing that provides hard hit line drives at an exit velocity of 95.5 mph. Player to know.

 

 

Aidan Capobianco C / OF / Malvern Prep, PA / 2028

Capobianco is one of the top catchers in the 2028 Keystone class and has an all-around skillset that translates very well to gameplay. He is an athletic catcher where he has straight-line speed with a 6.89 sixty-yard dash and lateral quickness defensively behind the plate. Offensively, he displayed a compact swing that produced a 95.8 mph exit velocity and peaked at a max distance of 360 feet. Defensively, he has a quick catch-and-throw ability with a 1.90-1.93 pop time and arm strength of 76 mph. Plays well above his years. 

 

 

Brad Bucci SS / RHP / Peters Township, PA / 2028

Bucci is an athletic 5-foot-11, 161-pound middle infielder and outfielder that was a top performer at the West Virginia All-State. He was impressive offensively, defensively, athletically, and on the mound. He started his day with a 6.88 sixty-yard dash and then went to turn in a solid offensive showing producing a 94.2 mph exit velocity and max distance of 328 feet. Defensively, Bucci had one of the strongest arms from the outfield and infield producing an 88 mph outfield velocity and 89 mph infield velocity. On the mound, he showcased an athletic movement pattern touching 84 mph and threw a curveball at 71-73 mph that he spun at 2,200 rpm.

 

 

 

Cutter Boggs OF / 3B / Shady Spring High, WV / 2028

Boggs was a standout performer at the West Virginia Preseason All-State this past winter. The 6-foot-3, 198-pound outfielder is an intriguing prospect that has the frame, size, skillset, and projectability to be a player to watch for the following years. He displayed a 6.98 sixty, 4.12 thirty-yard split, and a 1.67 ten-yard split. The left-handed hitter shifts his weight into his backside and transfers his weight into an even hitting position utilizing a moderately sized leg kick. He attacks the ball with a slight upward attack angle and looks to elevate the baseball. He produced a max exit velocity of 93.1 mph. 

 

 

Camden Kellar 1B / St Joseph Catholic High School, WV / 2028

Kellar has a 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame with room for growth and development. The right-handed hitter produced a 98.6 mph exit velocity with a line drive approach that drove the baseball from gap-to-gap. He has a flat bat path through the zone that allows him to naturally elevate the baseball. Intriguing first baseman to watch.
