On Wednesday, July 8th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Rockwall High School in Rockwall, TX, to host the East Dallas Summer ID, an open event for all high school classes.

More than 25 players made their way to Rockwall HS and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

We have already released a Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting the top statistical performers. Today, we will provide our scouting takeaways on some of the prospects who stood out throughout the event.

Cayden Royal | CF | Longview | 2028 | R/R | 5'10" 154
Athletic center fielder who projects well physically with plenty of room to add strength. An elite runner already, posting a 6.39 60. Covers plenty of ground in center field and projects as a well above-average defender. Arm strength will continue to develop. Did not take BP due to injury, but the athleticism and actions stand out immediately.

Revel Qualls | CF | Byron Nelson | 2028 | L/L | 6'0" 175
Athletic, high-waisted frame that projects well for additional strength. Plus runner with a 6.65 60 who aggressively attacks the baseball in the outfield and shows plenty of range. Projects as a plus high school defender in center field. Offensive upside is intriguing, already flashing the ability to impact the baseball with a future bat/power combination. One to continue following.

Nikolas Lagusis | OF | Frisco Centennial | 2029 | L/R | 5'11" 170
Great build with room to continue adding strength. Ran a 6.78 60 and moves well in the outfield. The arm works with raw arm strength that should continue to improve. Produces solid barrel contact with an offensive approach that continues to develop. Athletic player with plus run and upside at the plate.

Tucker Baugh | C | Breckenridge | 2028 | R/R | 5'11" 180
Athletic catcher who projects well physically with room for additional strength. Ran a 6.95 60 and moves well behind the plate. Posted solid pop times during workouts, although he did not have an opportunity to throw in game action. Projects for a quality bat/power combination with continued offensive adjustments. A player worth following.

Jackson Seel | CF | Stratford | 2028 | R/R | 5'11" 170
Athletic frame with plenty of projection remaining. Plus runner with a 6.64 60 who covers ground effortlessly in center field. Shows plus range and projects as an above-average high school defender. Offensive game continues to develop, with the tools pointing toward a solid future bat/power combination.

Lukas Wright | OF | Allen | 2029 | R/R | 5'8" 160
Projects well physically with room to add strength. Plus runner with a 6.75 60 who profiles as a solid defensive outfielder. Produces consistent line-drive contact with a developing offensive approach. Athletic player with plenty of room for continued development.

Hayden Welch | C/1B | Celina | 2027 | L/R | 6'1" 205
Left-handed hitter with a solid offensive approach and consistent line-drive contact. Finds the barrel regularly and shows an advanced feel to hit. Continues to develop behind the plate, with arm strength expected to improve. Also offers defensive versatility at first base. The bat is the carrying tool.

Brady Flowers | C/OF | Rock Hill | 2029 | R/R | 6'1" 193
Shows the ability to impact the baseball with consistent hard contact and developing power. Defensive game is still progressing, but the frame projects very well for additional strength. Offensive upside is the standout tool, with the potential for a quality bat/power combination. A player to continue tracking.

Athletic player with a projectable frame and room to continue adding strength. Plus runner with a 6.79 60, and the speed should continue to improve. Moves well in center field with quality range and projects to remain there defensively. Produces solid barrel contact and projects for a quality bat/power combination. Athletic prospect with plenty of upside.
