Moore, Plyler, Herst Headline 4A/3A First Team
Some of the top-ranked players in the state solidified their status with incredible spring performances. Moore was on another level all season long, hitting over .600 with 37 hits and 15 XBH offensively while also posting a 0.66 ERA on the mound. The University of Washington commit carried over his exceptional regular season into clutch playoff performances, delivering several CG performances on the pitching side while producing offensively as well to lead Kentlake to the 3A state title.
The newly-ranked number one player in Washington's 2027 class, Sumner OF/RHP Wyatt Plyler was also a key two-way player to lead his team to a state title. Plyler picked up a commitment to Wake Forest early this spring and will be a POTY-type talent in his senior spring.
Two-time Prep Baseball All-American INF/RHP Eli Herst put up gaudy numbers in his own right. The Vanderbilt commit from Seattle Academy slashed .477/.558/.754 despite projecting more as an arm at the next level. Herst was virtually unhittable on the bump as well, with a 0.89 ERA over 55.1 IP, striking out 98 batters.
