2026 Junior Future Games: Team Georgia and Team Southeast Recap

Emerson, GA - The Junior Future Games took place on July 23rd-26th and featured the top 2030-2031 prospects in the nation along with Canada. This prestigous event serves as an identifier of talent for the next up and coming wave of prospects. Throughout the week we will be pumping out the content from this event.

Today, we take a closer look at the some of the top performers from Team Georgia and Team southeast throughout the event. ⤵️

Team Georgia

Banks Gutierrez, LHP/1B, 2030, North Cobb Christian
Gutierrez filled up the zone across two innings in relief, showcasing his strike-throwing ability. Living in the low 80s, Gutierrez displayed comfort locating his fastball to either side of the plate, generating in-zone whiffs and weak rollovers. He showed feel for a slider that he could backdoor to righties and snap off against lefties in two-strike counts. With a lean 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame, Gutierrez has plenty of room to add mass in high school, which will only help his velo continue to tick up. Gutierrez is an athletic mover on the mound who extends well, creating an interesting angle from his low- ¾ arm slot. He will look to make a difference at North Cobb Christian this upcoming season.

Luke Rohlfs, RHP/3B, 2030, Mount Paran
Rohlfs entered in relief and showed off his power fastball, striking out 2 in his one inning of work. Living in the low 80s and touching 85, Rohlfs' fastball has serious arm-side run from his high ¾ slot, which he commanded well to jam righties inside and generate strikes looking away. He showed feel to land his low 70s slider for strikes, with some depth to it. At 5-foot-11, 199 pounds, Rohlfs profiles as a power arm that will dominate hitters with his two-pitch mix. He’s firmly on the radar and is an intriguing follow as he enters high school ball at Mount Paran.

Sawyer Campbell, RHP/SS, 2031, North Oconee
The 5-foot-10, 171-pound two-way had a productive day at the plate during Friday’s 2026 Junior Future Games. Campbell got going early in his first AB as he drove in two with a double into the left center gap. Feel for the barrel was impressive as he got the hands extended on a pitch down in the zone showing the ability to hit in all parts of the zone with some authority to the pull side gap. The swing starts with a slow and controlled load showing poise and confidence in the box. Campbell also showed excellent barrel control by keeping the bat head flat through the zone. On the mound, Campbell’s premier offspeed pitch was his changeup that disappeared below barrels, tunneling well off his mid-80s fastball. He also displayed feel for a tight Slider that he landed for strikes frequently. Expect to see more development from Campbell in the next few years.

Knox Bauer, RHP/SS, 2030, Pope
The 5-foot-10, 156-pound rising freshman showed well at the plate during Friday’s 2026 Junior Future Games. Bauer got the inning going with a leadoff double down the left field line. He featured a twitchy line drive swing while getting the bat head out to the pull side. Bauer showed extremely quick hands through the zone which allowed him to get extended and created solid contact. Expect more hits for extra bases as he continues to grow into his frame. Look for Bauer to make a splash during his freshman season.

Collin Berry, OF, 2031, Blessed Trinity Catholic
Berry oozes athleticism out of the 5-foot-8, 144-pound frame. In game 1 of the 2026 Junior Future Games, Berry led off the 4th inning with a triple to LCF to provide Team Georgia with a much-needed spark. Swing is simple and repeatable. A strong lower half and lightning-quick hands allow Berry to work gap-to-gap and utilize the 6.9 60 speed to leg out extra bases. Speed translates defensively as well, as Berry shows plenty of range in the outfield grass and patrols CF from gap-to-gap.

Canon Mallette, LHP, 2030, West Laurens
Mallette is a 6-foot-0, 177-pound lefty who displayed advanced feel for both his changeup and slider from a deceptive ¾ delivery. Mallette’s fastball lived in the low 80s, with a changeup that tunneled well with a significant velocity gap. He limited a solid Indiana lineup to no hits with 3 Ks across 2.2 IP and limited hard contact throughout. Entering high school, Mallette will look to continue to add strength, which will help him add velo in a hurry.

Bryce Britt, RHP, 2030, North Forsyth
Britt is a 6-foot-2, 177-pound righty who sat in the low-80s with command to either side of the plate. Britt extends down the mound well, throws from a low release height and at a L ¾ angle, creating a unique, unorthodox look for hitters and helping the fastball play up. His slider sits in the mid-70s, and his bite below the zone, which induces swing and miss in two-strike counts. He’s an intriguing follow as he enters high school ball at North Forsyth this upcoming spring.



Cohen Heath, RHP, 2030, Bremen
Heath brought a competitive mentality to the mound in relief, daring hitters to catch up to his mid-80s heater. Heath employs a simple delivery and lets his live arm work, which helps him command his stuff well and generate whiffs in the zone. At 5-foot-10, 163 pounds, Heath is an athlete on the mound that can continue to add velo in a hurry as he continues to fill out. He’s certainly a follow this upcoming season at Bremen.



Grayson Lightsey, LHP, 2030, Campbell
Lightsey started Game 3 for Team GA and came out attacking hitters with a fastball-heavy approach. At 6-foot-0, 157 pounds, Lightsey has a projectable frame that will add in a hurry and help a high-70s fastball continue to tick up. With a H ¾ delivery, Lightsey features a 12-6 curveball that he was able to zone for strikes looking throughout his outing.



Parkes Vogt, RHP, 2030, King’s Ridge Christian
Vogt entered in relief and delivered consistent strikes across two innings of work. At 6-foot-0, 145 pounds, Vogt has a wiry and athletic frame that can add in a hurry and help an already electric fastball become even better. Vogt sat in the low 80s from an over-the-top delivery with life through the zone, helping set up a big CB for strikes and whiffs below the zone. With a whippy arm action, Vogt is deceptive and, combined with his strike-throwing ability, sets hitters up for tough ABs.

Cale Crawford, SS, 2030, West Laurens
Crawford starts in a narrow, open stance with the hands by the ear before loading them into a strong slot and creating good separation with the stride. Stays on time for all offerings with adjustability in the swing. Came up with a huge RBI 3B against Arizona in game 1 of Georgia’s 2026 Jr. Future Games. Plenty of physical upside to like with tons of gamer-feel in the play style.



Team Southeast

Sam Bell, OF/RHP, 2030, Central
At 6-foot-1 already and 163 pounds, Bell has a frame that is ready to mature and give way to more growth in his game. He already possesses talent on both ends of the ball which give him a firm floor headed into HS. On the hill, he has a FB/CT mix that was paired well in a quick inning of work. The FB worked 78-80 and touched 82 while the CT was slowed to 70-75. At bat, the long levers worked together and timed up perfectly 3 times across a couple games. He had two triples, one to each gap, both for RBIs. He shows ability to drop a quick head and extend the arms through it. He also had a hard hit 1B through the PS in a key spot against team PA, moving the tying run to 3B. As Bell gains experience, he should continue to project well.

Silas Baker, 1B/LHP, 2030, Sonoraville
Baker already looks the part at the 1B position as he has a sturdy base beneath him, standing 5-foot-10, 198-pounds. He proved to be a threat in the box across all his ABs, and put together a quality IP on the hill with multiple offerings. The swing is really smooth as he works up through the zone after a toe tap load, producing quality backspin. His BP went well and it carried over into gameplay with a hard hit 2B into the gap for the RBI, an 88.8 EV PS 1B, and gritty ABs with good barrels throughout. On the hill, he has a FB/SNK combo in the upper 70s, touching 81, with a CH and CB to boot. He picked up a backwards K and two weak balls in play. Baker shows purpose in all situations making him a rising freshman to stay tuned in on.

Cruz Dawson, SS/RHP, 2030, Houston County
Dawson impressed at the plate in his JFG opportunity. He collected multiple hits including a double he roped down the line at 91 mph. He showcases a very compact load with a toe tap timer and very fluid actions. His hands get deep as he strides forward, and he gets on plane early and extends long through the zone. He displays a good feel for working up the middle and to the pull side with low liners that should turn into gap to gap power over the next couple years as he fills out his 6’0”, 132 lb frame. The athleticism is great, and the mechanics are solid. Dawson will be a name to watch as he matures physically in high school.

Ryles Register, RHP/SS/OF, 2030, Perry
Register was not initially listed as a pitcher, but the mound is where he shined this weekend. He struck out 2 in 2 innings of work, and the stuff looked legit. He hurled a fastball that sat in the upper 70s and topped out at 82.7 mph. He mixed in a changeup at 68-74 and twirled a curveball at 64-75. His mechanics are consistent and repeatable as he drives well out of the back leg in a controlled descent down the mound. With a tall frame at 6’2” and 175 lbs, Register achieves great extension down the mound, up to 6’5” with a release height over 6 feet every time. He carried a confident mentality with him to the mound, not scared to attack hitters in the zone.
