The 2026 season was no exception, as elite performances emerged from every corner of the state and across every classification. From dominant frontline arms to dynamic offensive producers and impactful two way talents, numerous players built strong cases throughout the spring. In the end, however, three players distinguished themselves with remarkable seasons, each earning recognition for their outstanding accomplishments.
For his exceptional two way campaign and instrumental role in leading Corona del Sol to a runner up finish in the 6A State Championship, 2026 1B/RHP Kellan Tom has been named the 2026 Prep Baseball Arizona Player of the Year. Joining him in this year's postseason honors are 2026 LHP Thomas Pascanu of Sandra Day O'Connor, who has been named Prep Baseball Arizona Pitcher of the Year, and 2026 SS Jet Berry of Queen Creek, whose outstanding offensive season has earned him Prep Baseball Arizona Hitter of the Year honors.
KELLAN TOM | 2026 PREP BASEBALL ARIZONA PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Emerging as one of the premier two way players in Arizona, Kellan put together an outstanding senior campaign to lead Corona del Sol to a runner up finish in the 6A State Championship. The Arizona State commit developed into the Aztecs' ace while anchoring the middle of the lineup, competing at a high level every time he stepped between the lines and establishing himself as one of the state's most impactful players.
At the plate, Kellan blended power, consistency, and run production to pace one of Arizona's most dangerous offenses. He hit .433 on the season, collecting 45 hits in 104 at bats while launching 10 home runs, 10 doubles, and a triple. He drove in 43 runs, scored 29 more, and posted a .487 on base percentage, .837 slugging percentage, and a 1.324 OPS. Time and time again, Kellan delivered in key situations, proving to be one of the toughest outs in the state throughout the spring.
His impact extended well beyond the batter's box. Taking over as Corona del Sol's ace, Kellan logged 69.2 innings with a 7 and 1 record while striking out 71 hitters and posting a 3.01 ERA. Armed with a fastball that ran up to 91 mph this season and a quality secondary mix, he consistently attacked the strike zone and gave the Aztecs a chance to win every time he took the mound, saving some of his best performances for the postseason.
Kellan's development has been evident throughout his Prep Baseball career, and this spring everything came together. The athleticism, strength, and competitiveness that have long stood out in front of our staff translated into one of the state's best all around seasons. Whether it was delivering a clutch swing, taking the baseball in the biggest games, or setting the tone with his relentless style of play, Kellan continually rose to the occasion.
His combination of elite two way production, unwavering competitiveness, and leadership throughout Corona del Sol's run to the state championship ultimately separated him from an exceptionally talented field of candidates, making him the clear choice as Prep Baseball Arizona's 2026 Player of the Year.

THOMAS PASCANU | 2026 PREP BASEBALL ARIZONA PITCHER OF THE YEAR
As one of the premier arms in Arizona, Tommy put together a dominant senior campaign to help lead Sandra Day O'Connor to another outstanding season. The Arizona commit established himself as one of the state's most reliable frontline starters, consistently giving his club a chance to win every time he took the mound while proving to be one of the toughest pitchers to square up throughout the spring.
Over 67 innings of work, Tommy posted a perfect 8 and 0 record with a sparkling 1.35 ERA while striking out 97 hitters against just 21 walks. His ability to consistently work ahead in counts, limit free passes, and miss bats allowed him to control games from the first pitch, establishing himself as one of Arizona's most dominant pitchers throughout the 2026 season.
Tommy saved some of his best baseball for the biggest moments. In the second round of the state playoffs, he silenced a nationally ranked lineup, tossing 6.1 scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and one walk. The poised left hander attacked hitters from start to finish, leaning on a heavy fastball that sat 87 to 89 mph and touched 90 while pairing it with a sharp breaking ball and a quality changeup to keep hitters off balance.
Beyond the numbers, Tommy's presence on the mound stood out every time our staff saw him compete. He worked with confidence, maturity, and conviction, attacking the strike zone while showing the ability to execute all three pitches in any count. His heavy fastball, advanced feel for sequencing, and uncomfortable look against left handed hitters made him one of the most complete pitching prospects in the state.
His combination of elite production, postseason success, and unwavering competitiveness throughout the spring made Pascanu the clear choice as Prep Baseball Arizona's 2026 Pitcher of the Year.

JET BERRY | 2026 PREP BASEBALL ARIZONA HITTER OF THE YEAR
One of the most dynamic position players in Arizona's 2026 class, Jet put together another outstanding season atop the lineup for one of the state's top programs. The Arizona State commit once again proved why he is regarded as one of the top middle infielders in the West, setting the tone for Queen Creek's offense with his advanced hit tool, athleticism, and relentless competitiveness.
A true switch hitter, Jet consistently found ways to impact the game from both sides of the plate. His short, direct swing and advanced feel for the barrel allowed him to spray line drives to all fields while controlling the strike zone and putting together quality at bats against some of the state's top pitching. Whether igniting an inning from the leadoff spot or delivering in key situations, Jet's offensive approach remained remarkably consistent throughout the spring.
Jet's offensive profile is complemented by some of the best athleticism in Arizona. A 6.56 runner in the 60 yard dash with explosive first step quickness, he is a constant threat to take the extra base and pressure opposing defenses. That same twitch and body control translate seamlessly to the batter's box, where his quick hands, advanced bat to ball skills, and ability to adjust within an at bat make him one of the toughest hitters to game plan against.
While his offensive production earned him this honor, Jet's impact reaches far beyond the batter's box. A dependable defender at shortstop with fluid actions, range, and an above average arm, he plays the game with a high baseball IQ and a confidence that elevates those around him. His ability to contribute in every phase of the game has been a defining trait throughout his Prep Baseball career, and this spring only reinforced why he is one of the premier prospects in the region.
Jet's combination of advanced feel to hit, elite athleticism, defensive reliability, and competitive makeup made him the clear choice as Prep Baseball Arizona's 2026 Hitter of the Year. With continued interest from professional scouts and a bright future ahead, he closes out an exceptional high school career as one of the most complete players Arizona has produced in recent years.
