LAS VEGAS & RENO, NV - The Nevada Top Prospect Games have officially wrapped up for 2026, with events held in both Las Vegas and Reno bringing together prospects from the 2027, 2028, and 2029 graduating classes across the state. Players at both stops had the opportunity to update their Prep Baseball profiles, compete alongside some of the top talent in Nevada, earn invitations to future premier events, and continue gaining exposure through the Prep Baseball platform.

Both events featured a full evaluation including laser-timed 60-yard dash testing, offensive and defensive workouts, and data collection through TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Vizual Edge. Pitchers competed in live innings against hitters, allowing our staff to see how their stuff played in a game setting while collecting valuable metrics. Hitters carried their workout numbers into live at-bats, showing how their tools translated against quality arms.

Players were evaluated by Prep Baseball's scouting staff throughout the day at each site, with standout performances coming in both the workout and live game portions. The combined leaderboards below reflect the top performers from across both events.

BELOW IS A LOOK AT SOME OF THE TOP STATISTICAL PERFORMERS FROM BOTH EVENTS, ALONG WITH VIDEO FROM THE TOP PERFORMER OF EACH STAT.

VALD PERFORMANCE

TOP 60-YARD DASH

Traditionally, the 60-yard dash has been the in-event standard to help measure a player's speed tool. We implemented three timing gates at the 10- and 30-yard splits, to capture athletes’ quickness, explosiveness and reaction time. From there, we will calculate an athlete’s top-end speed in miles per hour. While the measurement still has its utility, the 10-yard split has started to become more and more applicable in determining the player's burst and reaction time in-game, whether that's in the outfield or on the basepaths.

TRACKMAN

MAX FASTBALL VELOCITY

MAX EXIT VELOCITY

HIGHEST AVG. EXIT VELOCITY

Exit Velocity: This metric measures the speed of the ball, measured in miles per hour, as it comes off the bat at the moment of impact.

MAX BATTED DISTANCE

HIGHEST SWEET SPOT%

Sweet Spot percentage: This metric is determined by how often the player produces a batted ball during the session with a launch angle between 8 to 32 degrees.
