The 2028 class has wrapped up their campaign on the summer cicuit and head into their junior year.  As we take stock after the summer, we take an updated look at the 100 player rankings from the Natural State. The state already has multiple high level commitments off the board but with still plenty of more talent that has yet to choose their next destination. Today we take a look at the revamped Top 10 as well as 10 players worth spotlighting after big late springs and summers.

Rankings Spotlights

Caden Burnett RHP / 1B / Sylvan Hills, AR / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 4 / POS: 3 RHP who jumped onto the scene and moved into our number 3 spot in the rankings after a breakout showing at our East Arkansas Summer ID. With a physical frame, he plays with strength and confidence as he commands his stuff. He ran the fastball up to 93, creating real challenge for hitters and showing he’s ready to make impact at the next level.

Jayden Stegner C / 3B / Northside, AR / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 5 / POS: 1 Stegner comes in at our number 5 spot as he continues to impress with his size and physicality as a catcher. He brings real impact to the plate, highlighted by a top exit velocity of 102.8 mph. At this year’s Future Games, he also stood out for his ability to receive behind the plate with ease. Overall, he’s a strong two-way presence who can influence the game with both arm strength and bat power.

Easton Snellings OF / C / Benton, AR / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 8 / POS: 1 Snellings stays in our top 10 as he continues to impress with a twitchy swing from the left side. He brings plus speed on the base path, allowing him to pressure pitchers and create havoc when he gets aboard. At the plate, he finished with a top exit velocity of 96.5 mph, backing up his ability to hit with impact. Defensively, he also shows a strong outfield arm, firing throws up to 89.

Reese Cavitt SS / OF / Har-Ber, AR / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 9 / POS: 1 Cavitt is the definition of a workhorse with tremendous feel for the game. He played a big part in Har-Ber’s state championship run this past year, consistently showing up when it mattered most. Offensively, he posted a 95.3 mph top exit velocity and backed it with speed, running a 6.89 60. Across the infield, he showcases a strong arm up to 88, making him impact-ready defensively too.

Caleb Porta C / Rogers, AR / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 11 / POS: 2 Porta comes in at number 11 in our rankings. He’s as well-rounded of a backstop as they come, showcasing tremendous defensive capabilities and the ability to manage a pitching staff. With a high IQ for the game, he controls the tempo behind the plate and consistently puts his team in position to succeed. Overall, he’s a catcher who impacts every inning.

Tage Pollard RHP / SS / Farmington, AR / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 13 / POS: 6 Pollard comes in at 13 on our rankings after a 48-spot jump. He’s a right-handed pitcher who showcases a clean, easy delivery that creates consistent quality at release. He also has the ability to run the fastball up to 92, keeping hitters off balance and making it tough to square the ball. Overall, he’s a rising arm with real present ability and momentum.

Caleb Curry 2B / SS / Benton, AR / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 16 / POS: 1 Curry jumps 10 spots in our rankings after making a strong case for himself over the past year. He’s constantly working to get better in every aspect, and he brings a high level IQ of the game to the table. At the plate, he showcases strong bat-to-ball skills, and he’s also able to play all over the infield. Overall, he’s improving fast and impacting both offense and defense.

Max Taylor OF / LHP / Valley View, AR / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 22 / POS: 3 Taylor made a jump into the rankings, landing at our number 22 spot after catching our attention this summer. He’s a versatile athlete with high upside, running a 6.80 60 that shows real speed to go with his tools. At the plate, he recorded a top exit velocity of 104.3 mph and showed tons of power to all parts of the field. Overall, his combination of athleticism and impact contact stands out.

Hunter Arebalo LHP / OF / Har-Ber, AR / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 32 / POS: 3 Arebalo is a two-way player with high upside for growth. He’s a twitchy athlete who showed arm strength up to 86 mph on the mound from the left side. With the bat, he also flashed sneaky pop, proving he can impact the game offensively too. Overall, he’s still developing, but the tools to keep trending upward are clearly there.

Isaiah Brister SS / 3B / Conway Christian, AR / 2028 Rankings  StateRank: 36 / POS: 9 Brister is an all-around athlete who can contribute at multiple positions on the field. He showed arm talent with throws up to 87 from the outfield and also ran his velocity up to 87 off the mound. At the plate, he backed it up with a top exit velocity of 96.6 mph. Overall, he’s a versatile threat with impact in every area.
