Position Players

+ OF Sutton Dvorak (Malvern Prep, 2027) displayed his athleticism at the PA Senior Games. The 6-foot-0, 178.1-pound outfielder had the third best 60-yard dash from the event at 6.90 seconds with an 83mph arm from the outfield. Dvorak’s bat stood out during his BP round. The righty had the fifth best max exit velocity at 99.8 while crushing one 375 feet for the second highest max distance. The outfielder demonstrates quick hands and good bat speed that powers balls to the pull side.

+ 2B Billy Degler (Devon Prep, 2027), a 5-foot-11, 175.5-pound second baseman, had a strong showing from the PA Senior Games. During batting practice, Degler flashes gap-to-gap power from the left side with a max exit velocity of 96.5. He is on-plane early while building bat speed with loose wrists through the zone. In the gameplay Degler displayed his hitting ability with a 91mph single smoked back up the middle.

+ C Jackson Allison (Lampeter-Strasburg, 2027) had one of the best hitting performances from the event. Allison, a 6-foot-3, 188.3-pound catcher, smoked two RBI singles into the left and right center gaps during gameplay and also deposited one over the left field wall. He showed his ability to keep his hands working close to the body to create an uphill swing path and launch at impact to the pull-side. Allison’s max exit velocity of 94.5 will only increase given his frame and his efficient swing.

+ Karson Hathaway (Trinity, 2027) caught a lot of attention at the PA Senior Games with his bat. The 6-foot-3, 183.4-pound primary first baseman had a loud round during BP. The senior had the fourth highest exit velocity of 100.8 mph, but his 94.6 average exit velocity led the event. His quick hands are evident in his swing, and the BLAST metrics back up what the eyes see. His hand speed max was 23.2 with his average at 22.3. With his frame, the power is provided with ease and his quick hands help create more line drive contact. Hathaway also had the strongest arm from the infield at 85 mph, making him one to follow heading into 2027.

Pitchers

+ LHP Anthony Barthol (West Chester Henderson, 2027), a 5-foot-11, 154.8-pound southpaw, had a dominant outing at the PA Senior Games. The senior’s fastball ranged from 82-85 mph, but his spin rate of 2307 rpm really stood out. The fastball’s average spin rate was 2065 rpm, helping create good IZ that runs. Barthol flashed a four pitch mix that included a slider, curveball, and changeup. His slider ranged 73-75 with the curveball a tick below. His 77-79 mph changeup stands out too, pairing well with his fastball. During his outing, he collected multiple whiffs. In one sequence to a righty, Barthol pumped a fastball by him on the hands before coming back with a changeup low and away, getting the batter way out in front for a swing and miss. A smooth, rhythmic operator on the bump, Barthol has a great feel for pitching and will be someone to watch this season.

+ LHP Jack Bucci (Germantown Academy, 2027), who recently committed to The College of New Jersey just two days after the PA Senior Games, had a quality outing in Palmyra. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound southpaw was impressive with his command. His fastball ranged from 79-82 mph, topping at 83 mph, but it plays up in the zone with HM. The spin rate is also very good with an average of 2121 rpm on the fastball. Bucci pairs his fastball with a slider and a changeup. The slider sits 69-72, but he spins it well at 2219 rpm. His changeup works well with the fastball, ranging 77-79 mph. The southpaw has a smooth and fluid delivery. One long at-bat stood out, where Bucci used his fastball inside and away, his slider inside and away, before dropping a changeup low to record a swing and miss.

+ RHP Brody Flick (Owen J. Roberts, 2027), a 6-foot-2, 175-pound right hander, had a strong outing on the mound. Utilizing a three-pitch mix with a fastball, sinker, and a curveball, the senior kept hitters off-balance in Palmyra. Flick’s curveball is his calling card. Ranging 70-73 mph, the wipeout breaker generated tons of swing and miss outside of the zone. The fastball, sitting 79-83 mph, played well up and in for Flick. He located his fastball to the outer half effectively as well. The sinker ranged 75-78 mph. Flick is a quick yet smooth mover on the mound who is in control of his delivery and mechanics. With a projectable physical frame, Flick should be on the radar this spring.

+ LHP Colton Fultz (Hershey, 2027) was another southpaw who performed well. Fultz flashed a five-pitch mix with some funk to keep batters off balance. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound left handed pitcher also induced weak contact during his outing. Fultz’s fastball ranged 81-83, with a max rpm of 2190 that has arm-side run. The rest of his repertoire includes a 75-76 mph cutter, 70-73 mph slider, 69-70 mph curveball, and a 71-72 mph changeup. The cutter has short and sharp horizontal movement and pairs well with his offspeed pitches away, especially in left-on-left matchups.
