Green Bay Summer ID: Takeaways

On Tuesday, June 30th, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff hosted the Green Bay Summer ID at The Rock in Franklin, WI. Over 25 players participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff.

We have already released a statistical and data analysis story, highlighting the top statistical performers from the event, found here.

Today, we will be providing our scouting takeaways on some of the event's top performers.

POSITION PLAYER

+ OF/C Drake Stigler (Laconia, 2027) Strong, athletic 6-foot, 201-pound frame with more strength to come, showing a well-sequenced swing that consistently drove the ball with authority to all fields, producing an 83.8 mph average exit velocity and 91 mph max exit velocity. Showed aggressive, controlled actions in the outfield with quality direction through the baseball, recording an 81 mph outfield velocity with a quick, accurate arm from a high three-quarter slot. Also worked behind the plate with a 74 mph catcher velocity and pop times ranging from 2.05-2.11 seconds, highlighting his defensive versatility.

+ C Cooper Albrecht (Laona, 2027) Athletic, projectable 6-foot-1, 204-pound frame with strength already present, pairing a 6.86-second 60-yard dash with standout offensive metrics, including a 91.2 mph average exit velocity and 98 mph max exit velocity. Hit from an upright, narrow, open setup with a quiet move into his hitting position, consistently arriving on time. Produced hard, backspun line drives to all fields with a downhill path and advanced feel for the barrel.

+ OF Owen Linsmeyer (Seymour, 2029) Athletic, well-proportioned 6-foot, 187-pound frame with room to continue adding strength, showing a rhythmic move into his hitting position and a short, compact path that consistently produced line-drive contact with an 84.9 mph average exit velocity and 93 mph max exit velocity. The left-handed hitter showed feel for the barrel, with the ball jumping off the bat when squared up. Defensively, worked aggressively through the baseball with smooth transfers and an accurate, quick arm from a three-quarter slot.

+ 1B/2B Evan Ryan (Appleton North, 2028) Long, wiry-strong 6-foot-3, 174-pound frame with projection, showing a simple, repeatable left-handed swing with fast hands that consistently drove the ball with authority to all fields, producing an 87.4 mph average exit velocity and 95 mph max exit velocity. Displayed smooth, fluid defensive actions with clean transfers and quality footwork in the infield, while also showing feel around the bag at first base. Finished throws with a long, fluid arm action, recording a 72 mph infield velocity with consistent accuracy.

+ C Daxton Kraschnewski (Denmark, 2029) Strong 6-foot-1, 206-pound frame with projection, showing a calm, repeatable approach at the plate with a stock setup and efficient move into a strong hitting position. Displayed a well-sequenced swing with a downhill path, backspinning balls to all fields while producing an 81.4 mph average exit velocity and 92 mph max exit velocity. Behind the plate, showed quiet actions with a short gather into a medium leg kick, 72 mph catcher velocity, and pop times ranging from 1.93-2.06 seconds while also working 77-82 mph fastball, 70-73 mph slider, and 69-72 mph changeup on the mound.

TWO-WAY

+ INF/RHP Owen Adams (Bay Port, 2029) Currently ranked No. 33 in Wisconsin. Athletic 6-foot-1, 189-pound frame. Upright setup with a controlled move into his load, creating a natural, direct hand path that consistently produced line-drive contact through the middle of the field. Showed soft hands, clean transfers, and fundamentally sound actions in the infield while working through the baseball with quality direction toward his target. Accurate arm from a three-quarter slot, pairing polished defensive actions with a mature offensive approach. On the mound, the fastball was up to 80 mph. He also utilized a curveball at 65-67 mph.

+ OF/RHP Eli Derenne (Luxemburg-Casco, 2027): Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 220 in Wisconsin’s 2027 class. Athletic 5-foot-10, 168-pound frame with room for added strength. Posted an advanced 6.65-second 60-yard dash and showed an easy, balanced swing with a simple toe-tap load, consistently barreling balls through the middle of the field. Worked with smooth, athletic actions in the outfield, creating quality direction through his crow hop while playing under control. Threw accurately from a high three-quarter slot with a quick arm, producing 82 mph outfield velocity with carry.Athletic actions on the mound, with the fastball reaching 77 mph with a curveball at 61-66 mph to pair.

+ INF/RHP Alex Omernik (Pulaski, 2028): Athletic 6-foot-1, 174-pound frame.Stock setup with a short, consistent hand trigger, showing a compact hand path that produced hard contact with authority to all fields while flashing strength in his hands and bat speed. Defensively, worked with smooth, soft hands into the midline, fluid footwork, and clean transfers while shuffling toward his target. Finished throws with a fluid, whippy arm action, showcasing a polished all-around skill set. On the mound, the fastball reached 80 mph and plays true through the zone. He also utilized a curveball at 63-65 mph with 1/7 break, a slider at 65-67 mph with more quick, short break, and a changeup with at 66-69 mph and armside break.

PITCHERS

+ RHP Parker Broehm (Bay Port, 2027): Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 67 in Wisconsin’s 2027 class. Twitchy 6-foot, 157-pound frame with more room for added strength. On the mound, the fastball was up to 88 mph with heavy life through the zone, averaging 2,409 RPM. He also utilized a curveball at 73-76 mph with sharp, late bite, averaging 2,618 RPM, a slider at 75-76 mph with more horizontal action, averaging 2,637 RPM and 16.6 inches of horizontal movement, and a changeup at 80-81 mph with 13.9 in of average arm side movement. Still head and balance throughout the delivery to pair with a quick arm. Uncommitted name to follow.

+ RHP Ethan Engam (Luxemburg-Casco, 2027): Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 231 in Wisconsin. Athletic 5-foot-7, 177-pound frame. On the mound, the fastball was up to 82 mph and played true through the zone. He also showcased a curveball at 68-69 mph with feel to spin, averaging 2,274 rpm, and killed spin on a splitter at 76-78 mph. Quick worker on the mound, slow gather, strong down the slope.

+ RHP Nik Williams (Marinette, 2027): Uncommitted, high-waisted 6-foot-2, 161-pound frame with room for added strength. On the mound, the fastball reached 85 mph with arm side run. He also showcased a curveball at 70-72 mph that broke in a 12-6 fashion, a slider at 71 mph, and a changeup at 76-77 mph. Williams worked out of a tall setup on the mound, and maintained balance with minimal wasted movement throughout the delivery.

+ LHP Jacob Reineking (Notre Dame Academy, 2027): Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 200 in Wisconsin. Athletic 5-foot-10, 173-pound frame. On the mound the fastball reached 88 mph and played mostly true, with an average spin rate of 2,160 rpm. He also utilized a slider at 71-73 mph with 10/4 action, and a changeup at 71-73 mph, averaging 18.4 in. of horizontal movement.

+ RHP Tillman Madigan (Laconia, 2028) 6-foot-1, 179-pound frame with a wiry build and strength throughout, still projecting to add more. Worked with a controlled rock-and-gather delivery, showing twitchy, athletic movements and a loose operation. Utilized a half-circle arm swing into a low three-quarter slot with a clean, easy release. Fastball sat 78-80 mph with feel for the zone. Mixed in a tight, horizontal breaking ball at 63-66 mph and showed feel for a changeup at 72-74 mph that effectively killed spin and featured vertical drop. An athletic young arm with a clean delivery and a three-pitch mix that projects well as he continues to develop physically.
