Brody Blevins SS / RHP / Westbrook Christian, AL / 2027Rankings StateRank: 22
Our staff entered the summer high on Blevins following an impressive spring, and his performance at the Yellowhammer State Games only reinforced why he remains one of the top uncommitted two-way players in Alabama's 2027 class. Fresh off helping lead his program to a state championship, the 6-foot, 189-pound prospect looks primed for a breakout summer and put together another strong all-around showing. Blevins possesses an athletic, strongly built frame with proportional strength throughout and consistently lived on the barrel during BP, working on a level path and repeatedly hammering balls to the pull-side gap. He ran a 6.73-second 60-yard dash, worked up to 91 mph across the infield, and posted a peak exit velocity of 99.3 mph. Despite throwing sparingly during the spring, Blevins hopped on the mound and was one of the more electric arms to pitch during gameplay, sitting 87-90 mph and topping at 91.1 mph while spinning the fastball north of 2400 RPM. He rounded out the arsenal with a firm 79-81 mph slider that showed quality bite and tunneled effectively off the fastball, making him a name to know sooner rather than later while still uncommitted. |
