Team Maryland finished their gameplay portion of the 2026 Future Games with a matchup with star-studded Team Pennsylvania on Saturday. A tall task, Team Maryland would face off against the No. 1 arm in the country to start in Greyson Bell, before the No. 2 player in Pennsylvania in Mason Cevette would follow suit. Following a Luke Luzader two-out double in the 2nd, Micah Nelson would slash a bullet RBI single into right field to give Team Maryland an early 1-0 lead. In the 3rd, three straight singles by Nick Green, Mason Glover, and Jason Marll would set up a bases-loaded opportunity for J.A. Stephens, one that he cashed in on with a bases-clearing double off the wall in right, giving Team Maryland an early 4-0 lead. The pitching was the story in this one for Team Maryland, as Micah Nelson, Austin Callaway, Mason Glover, Marcus Blaqman, and Christian Cabello would combine to throw eight innings, giving up just two unearned runs with 0 walks and 12 strikeouts. Team Maryland would win this one 4-2 and end their week with an impressive 2-1 record.
