2026 Prep Baseball Ohio All-State Teams

The 2026 season was my 15th season with Prep Baseball Ohio and as with each of the previous 14 years, I couldn't ask for a better job. Yeah the weather could be better in March and April, but seeing these kids battle through the conditions that Ohio brings is great.

Being able to finish the season at the home of the Cleveland Guardians AA affiliate, the Akron Rubberducks, is a dream that all high school baseball players hope to be able to accomplish. Canal Park is one of the finest AA venues in all of baseball and the OHSAA and Rubberducks organization did an outstanding job running the state Final Four in the second year at the site.

Personally, I want to thank all of the players, coaches, parents, media members and fans who have helped Prep Baseball Ohio and myself with coverage across the great state of Ohio.

In 2027, Prep Baseball Ohio will continue to be your one-stop spot for high school baseball news in Ohio and will look to bring you even more. Thanks again! Can't wait for the 2027 spring HS season to begin!

For all of you that are playing this summer, have a blast, work hard and use this time to make yourself better. For everyone going to play at the collegiate level, good luck! Represent your family, school and yourself as the best student-athlete you can be. For all that are going to college, going to the military or going straight to a job after high school, I wish you luck in all your future endeavors.

2026 Prep Baseball Ohio Player of the Year

The 2026 season was filled with remarkable individual performances, making the race for Prep Baseball Ohio Player of the Year a close one. In the end, it was impossible to overlook the impact of Jack Ryan, the four-year two-way standout from St. Xavier, whose dominant season and leadership helped guide the Bombers to their first OHSAA state championship since 2003.

The Boston College commit was exceptional at the plate, on the mound and with the glove, delivering one of the state's most complete campaigns. Whether he was overpowering hitters with his impressive pitching ability or producing in the heart of the lineup, the senior consistently rose to the occasion in the biggest moments. Add in a championship run and a historic career that saw him leave St. Xavier as the program's all-time leader in hits, wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts, and the 11th-ranked player in the state and 404th nationally-ranked prospect separated himself as the clear choice for Prep Baseball Ohio's 2026 Player of the Year. A four-year cornerstone for one of Ohio's premier programs, Ryan capped his legendary St. Xavier career by leading the Bombers to a state title while putting together one of the most spectacular two-way seasons in the state, making him the deserving choice as this year's Prep Baseball Ohio Player of the Year.

State Tourney: Ryan saved his best for the biggest stage. In the state semifinal, the senior tossed a three-hit shutout, striking out eight while walking just one in a 5-0 victory over Olentangy Orange. Two days later, he once again played a pivotal role in the championship game, collecting a double, scoring a run, drawing two intentional walks, and providing outstanding defense at first base as St. Xavier captured its first state title in 23 years. When the lights were brightest, Ryan delivered, cementing both his legacy and his place as Prep Baseball Ohio's 2026 Player of the Year.

The following recognizes the top high school baseball players in Ohio from the 2026 season. The Prep Baseball Ohio All-State Teams feature three squads, First Team, Second Team, and Third Team, honoring the top 75 players in the state.

In addition, players are recognized on All-Division Teams across each of Ohio's seven OHSAA divisions, highlighting the top performers within their respective classifications.

Also included are four All-Regional Teams, recognizing standout players from every corner of the state for their exceptional performances throughout the season.
