After unveiling our First and Second Team All-State earlier this week, we now reveal the most prestigious individual honor in the state, the 2026 Prep Baseball Florida High School Player of the Year.

2026 RHP/3B Coleman Borthwick (South Walton) is our 2026 Florida High School Player of the Year. The 2x Prep Baseball All-American and Auburn recruit posted a 11-0 record on the mound this spring with a 0.21 ERA and 121 strikeouts. He allowed just 2 earned runs all season and only walked 7 batters. At the plate, he contributed with a .460 average, 9 HR, 16 2B, and 34 RBI. Borthwick walked 20 times and only struck out 7. Borthwick capped off his senior season by helping South Walton win the 3A State Championship and is expected to be a top-round pick in this summer's MLB Draft.
