2026 Florida Summer Championships Recap + Standouts

The 2026 Prep Baseball Tournaments Florida Summer Championships took place this past weekend at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. The event was four days and included three divisions: 16U, 15U, and 14U. After four days, three champions were crowned. Port Tampa Blacksox won the 16U Division, USA Prime Tampa 14U Scout - Nunez won the 15U Division, and X Team 2030 Albert won the 14U Division.
Today, we will take a look at some of the players who stood out most throughout the Florida Summer Championships.

Brody Lerch LHP / OF / Steinbrenner High School, FL / 2030Brody Lerch had an impressive showing during the tournament, both at the plate and on the mound. Offensively, Lerch posted a .474 average with four RBIs and nine runs. On the mound, the southpaw threw eight scoreless innings across two games, striking out 11 batters in the process.

Tyler Shoemaker RHP / 1B / Gaither, FL / 2028Tyler Shoemaker had an excellent weekend offensively, posting a .429 average with three walks and 10 RBIs, scoring eight runs as well. Shoemaker allowed just one run in five innings of work during the Championship game on Sunday, striking out seven in the process.
